Located at the Fairfield by Marriott, this restaurant is famous among the locals for its authentic Indian brunches. The place is fairly majestic with a selection of artworks from various parts of India. If you are a biryani lover, the kacche ghost ki biryani might interest you here. It is basically Hyderabadi biryani, where the meat is nice and tender with no overwhelming spices. Vegetarians might want to try their aloo gobhi masala where the potatoes and cauliflower are stir fried till tender, yet slightly crunchy. The spices are balanced well. Sometimes it is the simple preparations that satisfy you the most.
I had been there for team lunch, since it's closed to our office on last Friday of Jan 2019, and they were running Punjab food festival. We reached little earlier than 12:30 and they seemed to still in process of setting up, that I realized when staff delayed in serving soup and starter even after 12:30 PM. On asking multiple times person serving started avoid and I had to almost confront him for not paying attention and ignoring requests. I expected more mature and profession way of handling guests. They served special dishes from Punjab , which were good. Spread is not long , but good enough for lunch on working days and the price they offer. In starters , fish fry and veg tikk tasted good , Sarson ka Saag with makki ki roti was great. In desserts Gulab Jammon and wheat halwa tasted well. They served lassi in 2 flavors, both were good. Overall good food for price they have , if they improve on hospitality and service , they would be much better.
First night in India I think this is a good way to introduce yourself to the local food. Good choice and not too spicy for a non-Indian. And Thanks to Swagata for special attention to us made sure we were well looked after.
The ocassocca was my birthday. I wanted to make it special and memorable with my family. So decisde to come here at Kava. But due to some management issue they are not serving buffet and my booking got upgraded to the other restaurant ...The Momoz. Overall food was good and ambience was nice. Main course food was delicious specially chicken biryani and srilankan food.
The restaurant was decent and the food was good. The items were limited, but tasty. The main course items can be better. The ice cream was soft. All others were excellent.
Appetizer, sweets and ice cream was really good. Main course was not up to that mark. Service was excellent. Special thanks to Kushal for the service.
When has 24-hour restaurants ever gone out of style? We have found these kind of restaurants very useful at times, especially when we are feeling hungry at odd hours of the day or night. All-day dining restaurants sure come in handy for an early morning flight or a midnight snack when all other eateries in vicinity are shut down. We bookmark several hotel restaurants in our neighborhood so that anytime we want to grab a bite at midnight; we have a place to go. ‘Kava’ is one of our favorite places to go when in doubt. The restaurant is one of the best nocturnal eateries in Bengaluru and pulls diners all times of the day and night. Kava can be found tucked at Fairfield by Marriott, Global Technology Park, Marathahalli, Bellandur, Sarjapur Road in Bengaluru.
The menu at Kava is curated cleverly to encompass two crowd-favorite cuisines – North Indian and Continental. This popular combo goes down well will all kinds of patrons, no matter how conventional or global. With it, the chef accompanies a great bar menu, which stocks on everything from wines to brews. Kava caters to it’s diners 24X7 so it opens quite early. Stop by for a breakfast spread before heading for office. Do check out their buffet if possible, it’s deliciously generous as well as economical. Begin your first course with starters given on the menu like, mahi tikka, tandoori gobi, wild mushroom cream, chettinad mutton pepper fry, tangdi kebab and kori sukka. Follow that up with an array of mains such as, soya aur paneer ke kofte, fish n chips, polenta steak, bisi bele bath, bhuna gosht and Thai green curry.
Cap off the meal with a fantastically lip-smacking dessert course of, chena malai, warm Dutch truffle slice, gulab jamun and baked boondi. If you have been watching your calories then opt for a seasonal fresh fruit platter. Kava organizes lot of food festivals, introducing it’s diners to recipes from every corner of the country. Décor is reflection of the hotel’s elegant façade. Contemporary elements are infused with cool, welcoming colors, resulting in a charming sight. Soft sage-toned furniture dots around a vast airy room, flooded with natural light pouring in from huge windows. Service is professional and swift, adding to the experience at Kava. The restaurant could be a great venue for business meetings. Reserve ahead.
