Fulfil your craving for Chinese food at Mainland China, which is known for its sumptuous buffet spread and an extensive À la carte menu, whichever you fancy. While the décor follows the usual format, a small waterfall near the entrance adds a Zen factor to the place. Do not miss the all-time favourites, such as crackling spinach, Eight Treasure soup, exotic vegetables in chilli basil sauce, along with others on the list, such as lemon pepper soup, mushroom and baby corn in bean sauce, zucchini and corn dumplings, and Fukien crabmeat fried rice. Desserts like coconut caramel custard or the ice-cream spring rolls are sure to leave their lingering taste until long after the meal.
Had been on 14th September for dinner, excellent food n service, the best part is the consistent quality n taste...never witnessed in any of the other Chinese joints in Bangalore, probably they are successful in retaining their chef, I assume😊, well definelty a decent place for a Chinese in Jayanagar for sure. Definelty recommend for Chinese.
If you are in Jayanagar, Bengaluru and wish to have a scumptuous Chinese meal head for Mainland China at 5th Block. The place remains consistent for quality food with topmost taste. The prawn dimsum, Jiang Chilly Chicken, pan fried noodles with hot garlic chicken and Mango pannacota were yummy. Plus their service was top notch despite running to a packed house on a Saturday evening. A must visit when in this part of Bengaluru.
I used to be an ardent fan of Mainland China because of the quality of their food but lately it got so much boring and with meant other options available, I didn't prefer to go there. However, this time I felt that the place has found it's mojo back. The food was quite delicious and so was the service. Menu has changed and decent options are available, which are new and worth trying.
Good place for some authentic chinese menu. Nice ambience and good service. Enjoyed the chinese food here.
Went to this place on Friday evening when i was in a mood to have some Chinese after coming back from office. Basically this restaurant is famous for Chinese and Japanese cuisine. First impression when you enter this place is really nice , its a very calm place with soft music and very nice ambiance with nice decor. A very good place to come with your family. Coming to the food, first we had starters: 1. Basil flavored vegetable dumpling: they were really nice in taste, basically vegetable stuffed momos. 2.Truffle flavored Zucchini roll: these were OK in taste. 3. Crispy lotus stem with curry leaves and black pepper: This is a must try dish if you visit this place, crispy lotus stem with a very nice taste. 4. Dynamite cottage cheese: The presentation of this dish was very nice just like a dynamite, but the taste was OK not that good. Main Course: 1. stir fried seasonal vegetables in smoked chili sauce: this was really nice in taste with baby corn, capsicum , beans etc. 2. Japanese wheat noodles: They were really nice in taste. 3. Vegetable and Edamame Fried Rice: these were really nice fried rice with veggies . Desert: 1. Mango pudding : this was just amazing with good flavor of mango and just melt in the mouth. 2. Chocolate dome with warm chocolate sauce: very nice presentation and awesome in taste , a must have if you are visiting. Consists of brownie, vanilla ice cream and caramelized popcorn. For drinks I tried : Mint storm which was nice in taste and Orange piroksha which also had an amazing taste with a blend of orange. Staff is very courteous and the service is also very good.
Mumbai is often the starting point for many well-known restaurants. This is where several famous culinary names were born from the minds of excellent restauranteurs, aiming towards a great legacy. Some might have a humbler origin than the other but at the end of the day it’s all about great food, which is usually the reason for their so called popularity. ‘Mainland China’ too started its food journey from the shores of Mumbai and today it is one of the largest chain of restaurants in the country. As the name suggests Mainland China is all about wholesome Chinese fare, a cuisine of which Mumbaikers are really fond of. Mumbai owns numerous outlets of Mainland China tucked all over the city in every posh locality. Even Jayanagar has one on 5th Block, 9th Main Road.
Enter the Zen like ambience of Mainland China and sit down to enjoy a scrumptious lavish spread of authentic Chinese fare. Out here you can savour pure five star quality Chinese food for quite reasonable prices. The place is not overly expensive, which is one of the prime reasons why it’s sought out so much. Mainland China not only keeps an excellent Chinese menu, it also stocks on a full-fledged bar menu but if you truly want an authentic Chinese experience then better ask for complimentary jasmine tea. It will go wonderfully with your meal. You can even deliver their culinary magic right to your doorstep. Start with an array of appetizers and then move onto the mains such as, chilli basil fish in a clay pot, vegetable dumplings in chilli soya, General Tao’s chicken, braised lamb in mahlak sauce and king prawns in smoked chilli sauce.
The variety is endless and you will be quite spoilt for choices. Similar is the case with the desserts section which offers you a selection of exotic desserts. Have, palm jaggery ice cream, honey noodles with almond flakes, lychees with ice cream, hot chocolate rolls with vanilla ice cream, coconut caramel custard, steamed coconut dumplings with honey butter sauce, mango pudding and chocolate dome with warm chocolate sauce. The décor is quintessential Mainland China with dark wooden formal tables, simply but elegantly furnished room and touches of oriental theme here and there. Overall, Mainland China is a spectacular restaurant that deserves every bit of its praise.
