It is not your upmarket, high-on-ambience kind of place. Mangalore Pearl is all about the coastal food, and you should focus only on that. Try the prawn fry, chicken ghee roast with neer dosa, and the pork bafat. The chicken sukka, pork vindaloo and fish curry with rice also come recommended. Or else, just pick a fish and they will fry it in different ways for you. And try the khubey sukka - clams cooked with spices, curry leaves and coconut. It is lovely. And, of course, crabs are a highlight over here. We would recommend the good old crab curry with neer dosa, or even plain kori rotis.
