NEST is the all-day dining restaurant of HoJo and caters to in-house guests as well as walk-ins with buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You may find the food a bit repetitive if you are staying at the hotel, but otherwise, I like the spread because it is not extensive, yet touches all the right bases. If you are opting for the a la carte, here are some choices you can look at. In the salads, the 'Hummus and Pita' is good, as is the 'Rustic Mediterranean Salad with Feta and Lime Dressing'. The Soups section has the 'Creamy Broccoli', 'Corn Soup', the 'Italian Minestrone' is light and well flavoured and the 'Hyderabadi Shorba' is a peppery delight. The 'Banana Leaf Wraps in options of Paneer, Chicken and Fish' are good choices. The 'Khumb Galouti' is an interesting take on the original to try. The 'Sriracha Buffalo Wings' is a great choice with some chilled beers. For your mains, choose from the Indian, Asian and International options that are available. The 'Dhabe Ka Palak', 'Bhindi Sabki Pasand' and 'Khur Khuri' are great. I loved the 'Dal Rishiwali' for its tempering with garlic and chilli done in butter. This is one of the few places I have seen that does a 'Tawa Masala' in vegetarian, meat and chicken options. They do a nice 'Nasi Goreng', 'Stuffed Chicken Breast' and 'Thai Curries'. Desserts are well-known ones – the 'Salted Caramel Pannacotta' is a nice one.
It was by sheer coincidence that I came across EazyDiner. As with any other online address, I was initially very skeptical of signing up and availing the offer. However, my good friend gave me the confidence to sign up. From then on, there was no looking back.I am a member of EazyDiner.I wanted to take my family to Nest a restaurant in Howard Johnson (or HoJo) as it's popularly called. EazyDiner had an amazing 1+1 offer and I immediately availed it. Though I was skeptical of HoJo would honour it, I quickly called up HoJo and asked a lot of questions. The staff was very patient, courteous and answered all my questions and even made my booking for lunch on the following day.On the day, we went to HoJo and I was impressed by the ambience, decor, arrangement and the courteousness exhibited by the staff. The food was very well crafted and curated to cater to the varied age group. The salads were perfect and very tempting. The egg and sprouts salad and Chicken salad was perfect. The starters of chilly fish, masala vada, tandoori vegetables and chicken had a perfect blend of spices and well cooked. Mutton Ghee roast, chicken biryani, Baby Corn Peas curry Grilled Fish, Cabbage poriyal and many other items were perfect and just the right amount of spices. Overall with the food..it's definitely a full score. Desserts had a good spread with a mix of Indian and western sweets. The theme yesterday was Karnataka cuisine and most of the local dishes had that unique flavour. Overall we had a good time and an excellent dining experience.
big selection, tastey food. clean resturant, great service, serve all times of the day. menu or buffe
The breakfast buffet is very tasty and provides a rich variety of food from typical indian as well as continental breakfast. A good start of the day!
We went to this place for team lunch yesterday. Got good discount through NearBuy. One should note that this is a 4-star hotel before going ahead with what they have to cater. Ambience: Is pretty good. The restaurant is relatively small and looked congested as people walked in. The restaurant is pretty bright and well ventilated. Service: Is good. We did not see any delay in serving "Roti"s and taking away used plates. Food: For a vegetarian like me, I liked the varieties. Fruits kept were fresh and juicy. I did not try the starters. I limited myself to veg and fruit salads to begin with. In the main course, they have very variety. Food was not spicy, not bland either. Some of the dishes I liked include: "Roasted Beetroot Coconut": Something similar to "upkari" palya prepared in Dakshina Kannada (Mangalore, Udupi area). "Sorekayi Kozhambu": Tamilnadu style gravy. BBQ'd vegetables and fruits There were good eggless varieties in desserts section. Kesaribath, Dry Jamoon, a type of Strawberry creamy cake variety and a chocolate disc. Price: Good value for money. Having said that I would like to mention that I happened to visit a 5-star hotel in Cunningham road for team lunch at the same price, which ranked better than this place. Distance to Manyata tech park is one of the plus points of this restaurant.
Visited the Nest restaurant at the Howard Johnson hotel, here is the feedback of the buffet dinner; 1. Ambience Was good, warm with cosy lighting and comfortable seating. 2. Food Starters need a lot of improvement. The Paneer tikka was hard to bite into and was rubbery Mutton seekh kabab - didn't seem to be cooked, was chewy like a chewing gum Daal fry - was bland to taste A few things that's tasted nice were: Kimchi salad, sprout salad, butter chicken and the ratatouille was just ok. Desserts on the buffet were ok - tried the warm strawberry dessert and chocolate mousse, it was replaced thought with an very tasty chocolate brownie as suggested by the chef. 3. Service standards Good, staff shows concern about their guests by taking feedback of the food being consumed. To summarise, the food quality needs a lot of improvement because currently at the price of approximately INR 600.00 something through the 'Nearby App' is currently not worth it.
It is the trend of all-day dining restaurants to give exactly what the patron wants, be it a world class menu or a quiet non-fussy background. Here a diner finds precisely what he is looking for as there is something for everyone. The beauty of all-day dining establishments doesn’t end here, you have to consider their round the clock timings, which lets you be entertained no matter what the time is. There are many 24X7 fine dining restaurants in Bengaluru dotted all across the city in every major hotel but if you happen to be in Nagawara vicinity then opt for ‘NEST’, which is near Manyata Tech Park, Howard Johnson Bengaluru Hebbal. Being located near Tech Park, NEST mainly enjoys a suit-dominant clientele. Corporate meeting and power lunches are a common sight here.
To please its varied well-travelled clientele, NEST offers its patrons a varied multi-cuisine menu that covers all the classic crowd-pleasing fares which you hope to see. North Indian, South Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes are explored here and prepared well under the careful eye of talented chefs. NEST also excels in the buffets, which is a sought after option with the regulars. Those who want more control over their menu can start with, boti kebab, smoked Norwegian salmon, minestrone Milanese, spring rolls, tandoori jheenga, black forest ham, curry leaf & black pepper crusted paneer tikka, jalapeno cheese poppers, dim sum basket, Greek salad, methi matar Makai aur anjer ki sheek and murgh zafrani malai tikka. Main course is a hearty selection of dishes like, grilled jumbo prawn, nasi goreng, nalli gosht, vegetable lasagne, chicken chettinad, burgers, Bengali fish curry and rosemary scented pork chop.
No meal is complete without something sweet and at NEST, you are spoiled for choices. Pick between, Greek yoghurt cheesecake with figs, tiramisu, gulab jamun, warm swiss chocolate brownie, rasmalai and a selection of tropical fresh fruits. NEST is designed in a very classy and tasteful manner. Crystal chandeliers, gleaming polished wooden tables, fine crystal ware and chic furnishings, all make up NEST. This place is perfect for families as well as corporates but it’s better if you go someplace else if you are looking for a more kid-friendly environment. NEST is not cheap by anyone’s standards but you will find it to be a little towards the expensive side.
