Punjab Grill is one of the most recognizable fine-dine Punjabi restaurant chains, and this regally appointed space fits right in. The standouts on the menu include the ‘Beetroot Kanji’, ‘Salmon Tikka’ and ‘Rahra Meat’. Vegetarians are looked after too, albeit not with the same enthusiasm as their meat-eating counterparts: ‘Rawalpindi Chana’ is standard issue chana without the bells and whistles of, say, ‘Kadhai Murgh’. The ‘Tarkari Kesari Biryani’ is not to be missed. Try out the ‘Paneer Lababdar’, if you’re looking for something with gravy and to go with the ‘Lehsuni Naan’.
Curries have always been a point of great interest for the foodies. No matter how much they are tackled with over the years, chefs find a way of re-inventing them or keep our interest hooked. There are several restaurants that like to keep the curries simple and classic, minus any modern molecular gimmick most of the eateries go for nowadays. ‘Punjab Grill’ is one of them. The restaurant has chosen to go old school but has still maintained the interest by playing with unusual flavour combinations and reviving forgotten recipes. Punjab Grill has become one of the finest places to get your curry fix in Bengaluru and for good reason. The restaurant itself is located on 2nd Floor, Orion Mall, Malleshwaram West, In Brigade Gateway Campus, Bengaluru.
The restaurant gets really busy over the weekend, call ahead to book a table. The menu of Punjab Grill is a delicious combination of North Indian and Mughlai cuisines, a blend that is a great crowd-puller. Families are often the first to make a booking at Punjab Grill, followed by the corporates stopping by for a bite during lunch hours. Opt for their imaginative house cocktails to pair your appetizers. Tuck into, tandoori duck, bhutteyan de kebab, raan-e-sikandari, beetroot peanut tikki, mirch malai seekh, ghee roast mutton boti, tandoori lobster, paneer tikka multani, chaamp taajdar, fish amritsari, bharwaan khumb peshawari and murgh malai tikka. Dunk a piece of naan in curries like, dhaniya mirchi da kukkad, malai chena pedas, raarhya meat, tawa vegetables, nalli gosht, patialashahi kadhai paneer and murgh lababdar.
After such marvellous meal end the evening with some of their classic innovative desserts. Feast on, rasmalai, rum flambéed gulab jamun, phirni, gulab jamun, kheer, kulfi falooda and most divine, litchi ki tehri. Before heading home refresh your senses with a paan shot, which you will get on the house. An attractive ambience goes a long way into elevating your dining experience and at Punjab Grill, you have that in abundance. The interiors of the restaurant are classily designed to give a timeless appeal. You see a spacious formally decorated dining room done in soft earthy tones and uplifted by a dose of grandeur. The décor is pleasing to the eye and stylish as well. Bill would be medium pricey. Not a bad deal if you consider it’s posh setting and scrumptious food.
