Here is a restaurant that does not want to mess too much with the original flavors of a dish, yet gives it a nice little twist to make it that something special. Take for example the 'Jhinga aur Simla Mirchi ka Salad'. Who would have thought that 'Grilled Prawns' in a tangy Indian marinade with apple, cherry tomatoes and baby chard leaves would have come together well! It does with this dish. Salt’s 'Ragda Patties' have to be ordered simply for the apricot chutney that comes with it. The 'Kerala Chicken Roast' is what you should order as a good pairing with some beer. The menu has an extensive grill section (of course, goes with the name) and the vegetarian options are primarily paneer, with the exception of a nice 'Dahi Kebab'. The 'Murgh Malai Kebab' and the 'Pardha Jhinga Kebabs' would be my picks from the tandoor section. Going to the main course you have a lot of options – the 'Meloni Tarkari' is a mixed vegetable gravy and a good one at that. The 'Saag Aap ki Pasand' has spinach tempered with garlic and which can be made more filling with the addition of babycorn or potatoes. The menu features an 'Egg Curry' which I have my eye at another visit. The 'Khas Methi Murgh' is a nice creamy methi based chicken gravy that goes very well with rotis. The rice section has the usual 'Biryanis' in it. Among the desserts, the 'Filter Coffee Crème Brulee' is something to try. The restaurant has a full-fledged bar to keep your meal company.
