Situated on the New BEL Road in Bengaluru, this casual dining restaurant with simple interiors, ambient lighting and casual seating area is a great place to visit. Satrangi is popular for its buffet spread that includes' Chappan (56) Bhog'. They offer a buffet spread and an eclectic a la carte menu consisting of authentic South Indian and North Indian delicacies.
Good vegetarian-only eat out options near Sanjaynagar and New BEL road are very less. And especially when it comes to the vegetarian-only buffet I guess you have only one restaurant – Satrangi. There were varied reviews on the internet however, I thought of trying it out as I had received an offer from Eazydiner. The valet parking assistant welcomed us and also was humble enough to direct us to the lift – yes lift – Satrangi is on the second floor. Even though the New BEL road has a mad rush of vehicles, surprisingly the restaurant was clam. Long counter to one of the sides - was the dishes - Satrangi, the seven colorful treat to the eyes – the cutlery was smartly spaced out and the food was colorful. Don’t know when they have started, but the restaurant seems to be neat and well-designed. Hand wash: need to climb the next floor for hand wash, but one of the waiters got a finger bowl before the start of the meal. Food tales – Welcome drink: Gulab and Kokam drink was just another concentrate based drink – nothing special. Starters: Lasuni Potato, Baby corn Manchurian and Til tikki. Even though all the starters were outstanding, the Til tikki won the price. Til tikki, roasted sesame seeds dabbed on double coin-sized masala cutlet gave a spicy zing to the taste buds. Chat: Samosa masala tasted better than bland Papdi masala, but could not finish both the chat as it was served cold. Main course – Butter roti was soft and served hot. Paneer butter masala tasted authentic north Indian. Dal fry was usual but went well with Jeera rice. Nicely toasted Chili garlic noodles had few crunchy zucchini chunks. Overall a first-class main course. Salad. : didn’t try as it appeared dry and many tiny flies were having their meal. And I didn’t want to disturb someone while he/she is having his/her meal. Staff quickly noticed this and got an electric mosquito bat to kill the flies and I stopped him as the dead flies would fall on the dishes, he agreed and shooed away the flies. Dessert: Tested ok - dry fruit sugar-free roll & Jamoon. Malai Barfi and Motichur laddu seemed as if it was lying over there for ages. Price – On offer - worth to give 499/- for a meal for 2 Without offer – 499/- per head seems to be on a higher side. If all the dishes are excellent and fresh, the restaurant will easily sail through. Crowd – Only 2 families including mine on a Saturday afternoon. Fingers crossed and hoping that Satrangi sustains and becomes more colorful in coming days.
We enjoyed the meal, however the service was very slow they refilled only when pointed out. Ordered roti was served cold which came after 30 minutes. Inspite of this I would still give them a rating of 4 due to their quality of food.
A great place for a good food and nice ambience. The hotel chef had prepared a new fish dish which we tried and was good. A new concept of chef meeting the customer to understand his dish is highly appreciated. It shows the hotels interest in its customers. Keep up the good work.
Hi all I would definitely advice to visit satrangi because food is very different delicious and very yummy 😋 ambience very well maintained service is too fast .please do visit this hotel
Satrangi is a vegetarian buffet place in the New Bel Road area of Bangalore ! Priced at Rs 499 on weekends and Rs 399 on weekdays with a spread of 35 items, it sure is a good choice for that pricing. Buffet is satisfactory and is good in parts and pieces. Consistency in quality was lacking, there were some great dishes while there were also one's that did not click. Top picks for me would be the chaats, paneer tikka, channa masala, Dal Fry and Rasam while Desserts were disappointing. The yellow plates are not very appealing though. Service is top class and ambience is laid back and simple with comfortable seating. Valet parking is available
