Located at Marathahalli, Sidewalk Bar & Kitchen is a casual rest-o-bar. It has simple interiors with ambient lighting and comfortable seating arrangements. They provide a gorgeous outdoor seating area; opt for it on a good weather day. They offer a cost-effective menu of North Indian, Chinese and Thai delicacies. Highlights from the menu are Jalapeno Cheese Balls, Fish n Chips, Chilly Pork, Veg Sizzler, Pepperoni Pizza, Red Thai Curry with Steamed Rice and Lasagna.
Decent place for those who want to hang around in Marathahalli area. The ambience is not bad, good crowd too. But the place can get really noisy on a Friday evening. Food is good, not extraordinary. Both food and drinks appear overpriced for the place. I think this part needs to be looked into.
We visited here with some business friends. Outside area had lots of mosquitoes so we avoided that. Inside the music was very loud and difficult to hear ourselves. Toilet was poorly lit with no locked door. Apart from that it ok for a beer or 2 but we left after that.
This was our favorite place last year. The food is still good, the drink the usual. But as the evening progresses, they increase the loudness of the "background" music to a level that you cannot talk to your companions. When asked the staff to reduce they simply rejected. We left.
I had visited this restaurant for the first time . Those who are familiar with the chaos in marathahalli area in Bangalore can never guess that there could be a restaurant like this right on the middlw of it. Its behind the main buildings facing the mainroad and it provides the much needed calm and quiet ambience The service , the drinks and the food were really good. Its slightly on the costlier side. But once in a while visit is worth.
We went there for lunch. The place was almost empty with very few people in there. The ambience seemed of the kind that would look great in the evenings. The service was not really good, maybe because of less crowd. We always had to ask them for any serving and that too they performed as a favour. Now, coming to food. Food was decent, surely not worth the rating it holds. We ordered hummus and pita bread for starters. Hummus was good, but bread was not that appealing.. red sauce pasta was great. Garlic herb pizza tasted like plain margherita and had almost no basil flavour. Thai green worry was really bad. It was too damn spicy, to the levels that we couldn't eat that(I do eat spicy, but this was way beyond normal levels). When we told the Manager about this, he said 'this is how it is supposed to be'. Although as a gesture they gave us free vanilla ice cream. Mocktails were also okayish, not too good. This place might be a good place to have hookah and drinks but surely not a place for lunch :D Taste - 2.5/5 Ambience - 4.5/5 Service - 2.5/5 Value for money - 2.5/5
