The story goes that a carpenter ended up having one too many, while on the job and hence the pub ended up with suspended chairs being part of the décor. A lovely tale that adds to the quirkiness of the place. But of course, it is the food and the décor that we all keep going back for. You can not have what the carpenter did, but you should certainly try something from the signature cocktails – I would go with the 'Frothy Marge' – Tequila shaken with some triple sec and orange foam; spiced rum and tequila make up the Spice Poof and if you are a Sulaimani fan like me, then the 'Sulaimani with tea and tequila' is just the thing. Of course, the whole shebang in terms of regular bar offerings is definitely yours for the taking. Do not you just love a place that does the basics so well? The 'Corn on the Cob' with butter, onion, garlic and crushed black peppercorns is one to try and the 'Mojito Congress Peanuts' too. If you want something truly different, the 'Puliogare Arancini' is definitely one to experiment with. Among the small plates, the 'Prawn Ghee Roast', 'Asian Chicken Nuggets' and even the 'Chicken Chaat' are quite interesting. The 'Tenderloin Burger' should find its way to your table. As also the 'Vietnamese Pork Curry'. Desserts are a quiet affair and you will need to check on what the specials for the day are.
Sotally Tober is located in Residency road Bengaluru. Great venue to watch sports and unwind with some cool beer. Staff is very friendly and the place has great service. Food is also excellent. Price is a bit on the higher side, places similar to it has some lower prices of food and beverages. But overall great place to pass by.
This is the Bar which replaced the Ionic "The PUB World" from the residency road in Bangalore. Must have visited the TPW 100 times in the past 2 decades. The interiors are impressive - huge spaces - extra large smoking area - entire range of drinks imaginable - but stops short of Finger food and the Main course. Nowadays - after office hours - the casual beer stretches to food and people eat less at night ! The choices are limited - though I must report that the quality of the food was really good !!
Finally after much cordinaion with the girly gang decided to meet here as it was centrally located for all of us So glad we came here for it was great from the moment we stepped in The warm welcoming feeling one gets here is really the best The attention the suggestions all good and staff super efficient They have happy hours from 12noon till 7pm so we girls went mad trying out various cocktails What I really like was that when we order an item the waiter carefully explains it to us and tells us the potency of it too which I thought was nice especially for first timers We had the Long island iced tea Sangria Yummy in house nachos that were crisp till the end Yummy chicken tikkas Definitely going back for more Thank you team
You got it, the name is actually Sotally Tober and this is exactly what dragged me to this place on a Thursday evening with A new pub yet again in Koramangala serving good food and alcohol. Sotally tober is located around Koramangala 1st block, on the way to Wipro park, a little ahead of Prost, to be precise. Even on a weekday evening this place was packed! We were told that minimum waiting time would be 45 mins, however I hated how the reception girl said it to me. It sounded more like please go from here, we don't have a place. She didn't say it literally, but more or less. I was annoyed but a sweet waiter guy arranged a table for us which was empty in the smoking area and we didn't mind. The tables in the smoking area were huge drums smeared with drops of paint, very uniquely done. The ambience is typically that of a closed noisy bar, dark with pretty tiny lights hanging from the ceiling. It has two floors, and the seatings are very different and the place is a tad bit clumsy especially the bar counter area. However, I fell in love with the pretty lights in shapes of bottles and kettles and the nice loud music gave me some real good vibes. The staff was very sweet and was doing their best to take orders in spite of the rush. So ordered kamakize shots, potato wedges, honey chicken wings, Thai Mac n cheese balls and pasta arrabiata. It was quite a long wait for the food. The chicken wings arrived first, and the playing was so cool! It was a glass wine bottle in the form of a plate (refer picture). The chicken wings were crumb fried which tasted bloody good, but in the end they seemed super dry and had no trace of honey flavour in it. I liked them but I've definitely had better honey chicken wings. Moving on, the potato wedges were very tasty served in a steel box, full of spices and tossed with onions and chillies. Loved it! Thai Mac n cheese balls, the filling of Mac and cheese was a hit! But the lemon grass flavour somehow didn't work for me. Although, Ayush really liked it. This also was an average dish. The pasta took quite some time to arrive and it was good. The sauce was tangy and slight topping of mozzarella cheese made it even better. We liked the Pasta as well. There are enough options to choose from in their menu and I like that fact! The kamikaze shots was the best part of the evening though priced at just 200 rupees each! Our bill came upto 2000 rupees approx including everything that we ordered and the taxes as well. Pricing here is decent, and food is actually very cheap compared to places like Prost, Fenny's, barleys, etc. The service as I mentioned was nice, everyone does their best to cope up but you've gotta be ready for long waits if there's rush. I'm definitely going back here again, and you too should. Also, the decorations with the chairs outside is super cool and trippy! Go ahead and explore this place soon.
After a grueling few days launching the CULT gear brand, part of our crew went with purpose to find a place to unwind in Bangalore. After stopping at many places we finally stumbled upon sotallytober. With its arty interior I really liked the decor and Jackson pollack inspired wall murals. The brownies are to die for.
Newbies at Bengaluru’s night scene are doing exceptionally well by treating their punters exactly right. Feed them with all the delicious munchies and pour potent concoctions down their throat, and you have a friend for life. Punters in Bengaluru are constantly on the lookout for a place to give them a slice of exhilarating nightlife, filled with fun gigs, knock-you-out drinks and a feel alive kind of ambience. A new kid on the block ‘Sotally Tober’ has been creating major waves on the city’s party scene. This slurred name is the perfect dig at drunks, a pun we especially like. Sotally Tober is tucked at 80 Feet Road in Koramangala 4th Block and is quite a mecca for tipplers and bar-hoppers. It is said to be one of the best bars in Bengaluru.
Punters swear by Sotally Tober’s heady cocktails. Monks on holiday, Pattaya’s punch, whisk me honey, Indie’s express, wake up call, are all delicious and intoxicating. One can also dip into the regular scotch beer stuff too if they so feel inclined. Nibble alongside on munchies from their eclectic menu and pay special attention to the items with a boozy touch. Eat, #SoTo corn on the cob, Thai mac & cheese, prawn chilli, tech-ila congress, #SoTo honey chicken wings, cheta! Oru beef, Greek vada, Vietnamese spare ribs, squid Manchurian and #SoTo coriander fish. Stuff yourself further on, spicy veggie tempura burger, mama’s mutton curry, spinach & corn pizza, chow mein noodles, beef flank steak, crunchy fish burger, penne alfredo, #SoTo chilli crusted basa with screwdriver veloute, kheema & pav, chilli paneer fried rice, classic beef burger and #SoTo fish & chips.
Dessert course is surprisingly short but what they lack in variety, they more than make up for it in taste. Your sweet tooth will be tickled silly with, honey walnut cake, choco chip cookie tart and if you want something off the menu, ask your server for dessert of the week. If you’re expecting something polished or earthy then you’re in for a surprise. Behold the paint splattered walls, as if a paint bomb has exploded in the room and then there are the odd kitchen gadgets used as lanterns to add the perfect eccentric touch. Dining style is casual and relaxed. Sotally Tober is youthful, quirky and laid back. If vacant, sit in their outdoor area.
