This casual dining restaurant is located in Indiranagar, Bengaluru. The elaborate menu leaves you spoilt for choice; traverse across Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand or even Burma. The ambience is simple yet elegant just like other Oriental eateries. The yellow colour-based lighting is very apt and the combination of it with light background music gives a very relaxing feel. Start off with the ‘Chicken Tom Yum Soup’ and ‘Raw Mango Salad’. The ‘Lotus Stem with Honey Chilly’ and ‘Thy Mushroom Satay’ are apt for appetizers. For the main course, you must go for the ‘Thai Red Curry Prawns’ and ‘Ohn No Khao Swe’. Flush it all down with the ‘Berry Iced Tea’ or ‘Ringer’ from the cocktail menu.
My love for Asian cuisine is never ending! I prefer it any day over any other cuisine, we were passing by this place and we guys ended up here ! And We weren’t disappointed at all. We had Shanghai chicken Dim sum, Honey Sesame chicken and chilly Garlic noodles and Mojitos. The portions are big here , so just one noodles was filling for both of us. Also the service here is pretty good!
Booked this as part of GIRF on Dineout, and visited on a Saturday Evening. Our Appetizers were Dimsum Platter, Chilli Chicken Bao and Dynamite Prawns. Dimsum platter had the 3 types (2 each) non-veg dimsums as listed on the menu and 2 mutton dimsums. Chilli Chicken Baos were good. I was disappointed with the Dynamite Prawns as there were only 5-7 pieces (of medium sized(possibly 35-40per kilo) prawns) for a 500 rupee dish and taste was also not unto the mark. For the main course we had Kung Pao chicken and Pad Si-ew (Pad Thai noodles). The noodles were good but Kung Pao chicken was possibly made from very stale chicken or it was fried too much before mixing the Sauces for the dish. Service was good and prompt. They do not accept Amex cards.
Disappointed !! I had real high hopes after going through the videos and photos on zomato but the neither the ambience nor the taste lived up to it First of all, the place is not as classy as it looks in the pictures. Now coming to the food, the taste was just normal. We started with Tom kha soup, and it was a good start. Next we went to veg dimsum set and spring roll. They were decent, but it was nothing special or authentic. Mojito was really bad. Green tea fried ice cream was ok. Taste - 2.5/5 Service/ ambience - 2.5 Value for money - 2/5
What a place!! If you are done trying the same cafes/Indian restaurants and your taste buds are craving for something different then this is the place for you. Also if you think that and Indonesian cuisine are not meant for you, trust me once and try this place and you won't regret going here. We started with basil and cucumber ice tea, which has chilli, cucumber and basil in it and was yummy. The watermelon mint mojito was also nice. They have a variety in mojito , so order according to your taste buds. For starters we ordered papaya salad, chilli lotus stem which is a must try for vegetarians (was not overly sweet, perfectly made), baby corn in roasted chilli paste and prawns in long beans. All the dishes just won my heart and tummy 😂😍 dimsums we're quite obvious good this being a pan Asian place :) STAR OF THE EVENING : chilli chicken bao, you have to try this, if you are not in a mood to have a full meal, go and try their baos, which are amazingly good. Note: for all the folks who have not tasted baos, start it from Thai Chy :) Finally we ended the roller coaster of our pan Asian journey with Apple fritters and Jasmine tea 😊😍 . . Kudos to team Thai chy , you guys are doing an amazing job!!
