The Biere Club is all about kicking your shoes off (not literally, of course!) and having a good time. Their craft beers (especially the wheat beer) are lovely, and you must ask for their special brew of the season. To eat, the short eats are your best bet. While the bacon-wrapped sausages and the prawn popcorn are highly recommended, you might even want to take a look at their pizzas; try the one with smoked chicken or the tomatoes, sweet basil, and mozzarella pizza. And, if you are really hungry, check out their kabab platters (for vegetarians and non-vegetarians).
We had a lunch here on Sunday. The restaurant was quite nice and the food was also good (but not very good). Their beers were also tasty.
Had a chance to have lunch there today and enjoyed a flight of beers before going with porter style with my pizza. Recommend sitting upstairs with the Harley Davidson decorations and open air views. Pizza crust was good but toppings average.
It was fun to be able to taste a couple of different beers in this micro-brewery! Coming from Holland, with lots of access to great Dutch, Belgium and German (specialty) beers it was fun to compare. You can’t expect the beers to seriously compete, but it is a nice place and the chicken wings were very nice! You can call me naive, but I was really disappointed by the fact that they put all their beers in front of me in tiny tasting glasses to find out afterwards that I was paying for each glass. I would have never ordered a wheat- or stout beer by myself. So in conclusion: nice bar (but not unique), great chicken wings, nice IPA, and a dissapointing bill.
Good place to chill out with a wide range of beers. One of the few places where information about the date of tapping and other details of the beer made available to you on a board at the place.
Great beer with a taster option. Nice menu pizza was excellent. It's a nice alternative to ubcity nearby.
Special Occasion calls for a booze session with your date especially if you are both beer drinkers and appreciate a glass of good brew. Wondering where to go? Try The Biere Club. The name says it all. This casual microbrewery should be on the list of every beer lover. Located on Lavelle Road, The Biere Club is simply designed with exposed brick walls and sturdy wooden furniture to give a very laid-back homely feel. Once a month they organize standup comedy nights which are worth looking into. If it happens to be on Special Occasion, nothing better.
