Toscano is perhaps the first name to come to mind when we talk of a good Italian restaurant. Here is a place with its signature green and brown décor, that never fails to please. Make no mistake, the restaurant is a pricey one, but it is definitely value for money. My favourite starter here is the 'Beef Carpaccio' which is encrusted with pesto and served with 'Pommery Mustard' and 'Rocket Pesto' on the side. The 'Smoked Salmon Involtini' is another dish I really like – it makes for a heavy starter, with smoked salmon, a cucumber roulade and a soft boiled egg over an apple and rocket salad. In the pizza department, the 'Quattro Formaggi' is great, as is the 'Prosciutto e Funghi'. The 'Ravioli di Spinaci with Ricotta' is a great pick, as is the 'Baked Brie with Red Pumpkin' and 'Spinach Mash and Baked Brie Cheese'. The 'Spaghetti Bolognese' is my all-time favourite, as clichéd as that may sound. The 'Penne Arrabiatta' is great for the vegetarians. For your main course, do try the 'Lava Stone Grilled BBQ Indian Lamb' chopped that is served with whipped polenta. Among the dessert, the 'Chocolate Kahlua Mousse', the 'Warm Apple Crumble and the Affogata al Caffe' is a must for coffee lovers. Toscano’s food is best paired with all the wines that they have on offer. Ask for a bottle of your choice or leave it to your server to get you.
Great team serving you, amazing food, and a great collection of wine and other alcoholic beverages to spoil you thoroughly!
An excellent place in Forum Mall on Whitefield Road part of the famous Bangalore chain is Toscano. Lovely food, excellent service and amazing ambience. Loved it.
My mom and I were shopping at Nature's Basket when we saw a new Toscano's open! And the first thought that came to mind was "hmm, what an odd place to put a restaurant". Well we walked in anyway, and then we ordered I order a salmon and carborane spaghetti and my mom order an eggplant dish that I can't remember. Mine to be honest .... was Great! But my mom says hers was decent, and the ambience was good. But unfortunately, it can't compare to its brother The Toscano's in Forum Value which I think is 100 times better.
This place is quite and calm good ambience but food is over priced, quantity is at a very lower side and just the average taste. The service is average staff needs to be educated about their food and menu. Over all not a good place to dine.
Toscano- meaning Spanish and Italian and yes...their menu revolves around it.Located on the Varthur Main Road,a much awaited new watering hole is now open. Ambiance -feel too hard to describe in words.Step-in to experience it.Also have a choice to sit inside or outside(spread into 2 sections)Decor is just perfect and lives up to their name. The place can accommodate around 80-100 pax at full capacity. The place boasts of a full fledged bar with exhaustive wine collection too.The barmen here is a asset and whips some great cocktails at ease. The Service is top notch. Our manager for the evening Mr.Somesh did a fantastic job with his boys in serving, explaining and understanding the dishes we tasted. Good job... The Starters tried were- 1.Mediterranean Hummus, bean falafel and spicy muhammara - Just perfect. 2.Olive Ascolane - Olive stuffed chicken with spicy. Supplements your cocktails well and highly recommended 3.Classic Manti - Lamb dumplings with mint garlic sauce which was done to perfection and a joy to eat 4.Spanish sausage - pork sausage sautéed with beans and wine -absolute SHOW STOPPER. 5.Grilled prosciutto wrapped figs -bacon wrapped with figs stuffed with cream cheese- STAR DISH OF THE EVENING. Main Course tried were 1.Fettuccine Aglio Olive - Pasta tossed with truffle flavoured butter and olive.Different, yummy and filling too. 2.Scaloppine Funghi Chicken Breast - chicken Breast with truffle mushroom sauce along with three bean bulgur salad .A joy to relish such a fine dish. 3.All Season Pizza - vegetables pizza prepared using sour dough.Veggies, take note-highly recommended The Desserts tried were- 1.Pistachio Browine Tiramisu - complimented well with browine and shaving of pistachio. 2.Chocolate Almond Flakes Steam Cake 3.Vanilla Rosemary Creme Brûlée 4.Charcoal Smoked Cheese Cake - my personal favourite. All the desserts were perfectly superb in their own league and satisfied your sweet tooth cravings. A evening for 2 with a couple of cocktails would cost around Rs 7000-7500/- Both Cards and Cash accepted. Restroom is well maintained. Sufficient parking space for both cars and 2 wheelers available. However it is paid parking for cars. As of me,if am in that area- would love to drop in for the lip smacking food and wonderful service Good luck team...
