Zaks is a sought after restaurant in Bengaluru, named after its owner curating delicious Arabic and Mediterranean food at reasonable prices. With more options for non vegetarians, the meaty dishes here are the highlighting delicacies here. Accommodating roughly 50 seats, décor matches the food, as it is done in the Arabic style with seating cubicles made like tents, and the background of a desert. You can also see camels painted on the walls. With flavoursome food and beverages, you can try the hummus and falafel, the mushakkal – a platter sufficing seven people, Zaks special chicken, and mutton chops. Ending the meal with a piping hot glass of black tea for tea lover can be delightful ending to a delicious meal.
The prawns mushakal was amazing with chicken kabab oil fry too good if anyone wants to have prawns mushalak go for it.
We are a regular visitor to this place. We visited this place for the first time in year 2007 and from then onward no looking back. Its a cozy small restaurant on the crowded Cole's road at the intersection of mosque road. The staff is helpful and assist you with a smile while you select menu options. The ideal is to have platters, they have an amazing combination of meats served with rice. Pita bread is also good. The good is flavorsome and a platter has enough quantity to satisfy your tummy. The place is not harsh on your pocket. It's a pocket friendly restaurant considering the location and the quality of food they serve. Pros: 1. Authentic Arabian food 2. Great taste 3. Very good service 4. Value for money Cons: 1. No parking on the road where it is located. 2. Too much traffic you have to encounter before you reach this heaven
We had pitta bread, lahme nashaf, makhluba . All items were mildly spiced and delicious . Service was good .
We are vegetarian, still we find lots of great choices at Zak's. A felafel roll costs just 60 bucks. Do ask for extra pickle. The tabbouleh is also very good. The water jug has mint and lemon in it which tastes great. No nonsense place with authentic food at reasonable prices!
Was to visit the french restaurant Le Pont, but as this was closed, dropped in a Zaks instead. Food was delicious, good portions, nice ambience but the service was very slow, we had to repeatedly ask what happened to our drinks and where was the food as it took some time to arrive and we were in a hurry..... however we enjoyed the food, and look forward going there again...
