If you are looking for a quiet evening with appetisers to munch on and a good selection of drinks from the bar, then this is the place for you. The King’s Cross Skybar is housed in The Altius Hotel and has been designed keeping a British pub theme in mind. So you will find plush wooden interiors complemented by an attractive chequered floor and plenty of comfortable seating. The light domes on the ceiling are quite stunning. Keeping with the theme, the bar plays out retro English numbers and it’s a place where you can actually converse without having to talk on top of your voice. They have even made room for a dance floor. But the menu is rather concise with only a selection of appetisers on hand. What goes in their favour is that the selection brings in an assortment of flavours. ‘Corn and Spinach Roll’, ‘Achari Tandoori Broccoli’, ‘Hara Bhara Kebab’ to ‘Sweet Chilli Shredded Chicken’, ‘Chandni Murg Malai Tikka’, ‘Tundey Kebab’, the menu offers it all but they need to check their portion of salt in the dishes. The ‘Bhatti Ka Murg’ we tried was a letdown due to the excessive salt in the dish. The replacement – ‘Crispy chicken in lemon sauce’ fared better. The service is efficient and good with recommendations.
