It might be located off the usual track in Industrial Area but that has not deterred Lumos from becoming a fun place to hang out. Housed in Godrej Eternia building, Lumos has an outdoor space that is used really well for dining and events. Step inside and you are instantly impressed by the modern interior design and furniture much inspired by Chandigarh’s architecture. There is a long island bar on one end and it follows you all along the length of the restaurant. The use of contemporary lighting styles gives this place a warm and inviting look. French windows bring in the light and there’s also a split level floor for more intimate seating. The menu matches the mood the restaurant and you will find a good selection of drinks from the bar. The food hopscotches across a global map bringing in a mix of cuisines. Interestingly, the Indian dishes get a fun makeover too, like ‘Cous Cous Upma’. In the starters, you will find plenty of options like ‘Classic Fish and Chips’, ‘Keema Pav’, ‘Mini Corn Dogs’ to ‘Baked Potato Skin Chicken Tak-a-Tak’ and ‘Gunpowder spiced Onion Rings’ to list a few. The main course walks a familiar path and we are told a new menu is being worked upon. We truly relished the ‘Burnt Garlic Soup’ that instantly warmed us up on a cold winter evening. The ‘Chicken 65’ was equally well done and even though a tad spicy, it was really full with flavour. If you are looking for a break from the usual restaurants and lounges dotting Sector 7 and Sector 26, plan a visit here.
