Why can deny the never-ending lure of North Indian food? Our desi hearts beat for curry and naan and not a day goes by when we don’t feel like stepping away from pastas and back into the familiar arms of a traditional North Indian curry. Chandigarh is a quintessential North Indian town with deep adoration for dals and curries. It is the birth place of classic curry dishes we have come to expect on North Indian menus and one restaurant has been integral into laying the foundation of desi cooking in Chandigarh city. ‘Pashtun’ enjoys an iconic position in the city’s fine dining culture. It is a very sought after restaurant still even after being around for decades. Pashtun is perched on 3rd Floor, Elante Mall, Chandigarh Industrial Area in Chandigarh.Unlike the outlet of Pashtun in Sector 35, this Elante Mall outlet does things a little differently. Rather than having an expected a la carte menu, this outlet lays out a luxurious North Indian buffet for their diners to dig into. The whole feast of classic North Indian and Mughlai delicacies finds its way into the buffet. As it mostly is with buffet restaurants, the wastage of food is extreme, hence, Pashtun encourages it’s diners to finish what’s on their plate or they will be charged extra on wastage. The chef whets your appetite with a smorgasbord of nibbles such as, jalpari kebab, soya chilly, sikandari raan, bhutta seekh kebab, lamb pather kebab and so much more. Break a piece of kabuli naan to mop up curries like, raan dera ismail khan, soya takatak, palak kofta, murg wajid ali, paneer pashtuni and handi gosht.Sip a jaljeera to refresh your palate before tackling the final, sweet course. For dessert, you can polish off any of the classic North Indian sweet. Our vote lies with gulab jamun, malai kulfi or tuti fruti chhoti. Kids can choose an ice cream to end their meal. Buffet at Pashtun is complete value for money. For affordable rates, one can dine lavishly at this popular family-style restaurant. To continue the desi flair, Pashtun is given a traditional North West frontier appeal. The dining room is a lovely blend of modern and traditional. Snowy white booths and chairs are paired off with pale wooden finishes. A wall depicting a scene of the frontier stretches across, grabbing the eye instantly. For view, snag a table next to the windows. Keywords: Elante Mall, Chandigarh, Buffet, North Indian, Family, Traditional, Mughlai, Affordable, View, Popular, Iconic.Summary: Reserve a table at one of the most sought after restaurants in Chandigarh, Pashtun, next time you feel like having a curry. Pashtun

Pashtun is a restaurant in Elante Mall, Chandigarh Tricity serving North Indian, kebabs and biryani. Known for North Indian dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

At very nominal price (500/-) you get large variety of buffet. Really in place like Elante mall offering buffet at this price is commendable. I liked the food. So in the larger variety of buffet you can find UR type of dish... And enjoy it.. i like almost everything.. but mostly had rice and curry for mains. Thanks for a surprisingly inexpensive eatery experience. And not many restaurants serve MISHRI AFTER FOOD . IT WAS SO SWEET ❤️??

recently dined at this place food was subpar and quality was also not that good .... service was amazing and atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was good ?

I visited Pashtun around 2 PM for their buffet. I opted for the vegetarian buffet priced at ₹500 because the non-vegetarian option, which costs ₹600, included only two non-veg dishes, while still giving access to all the vegetarian offerings. The food was quite good, with the flavors of the Indian dishes particularly enjoyable. The vegetarian buffet included about four different selections, along with two types of rice, parathas, and naan, all served warm. The service was attentive, and the restaurant was clean, contrary to some other reviews. For dessert, they offered gulab jamun and ice cream in flavors such as strawberry, pistachio, and vanilla. Overall, it was a satisfying buffet experience with good variety, quality, and well-prepared flavors.

Pashtun at Elante Mall feels like that familiar North Indian buffet spot you keep going back to when you want hearty food without overthinking it. The ambiance is cozy and old-school rustic, more about comforting aromas and busy tables than fancy decor.

On good days, the spread is generous with classic curries, kebabs and rice dishes that pair perfectly with hot naan, making it great for group lunches and family dinners. The staff is generally attentive and polite, and if you’re going with a hungry crowd, the value-for-money factor stands out.

That said, the experience can be inconsistent: at peak hours the buffet area feels cramped, and there have been mixed opinions about food freshness and taste, especially during dinner service. Overall, it works well as a casual, budget-friendly buffet option in Elante, but not as a place to expect a refined gourmet experience every single time.

Guys THERE WAS A COCKROACH IN MY GULAB JAMUN
This is unacceptable and falls below the standards of service, i just want to say that first of all the food did not have any taste whatsoever its like they just prepare it without any methods and the highlight of my lunch was finding a cockroach inside of my dessert. After finding that i went to google reviews just to see more people also found out stuff like that i mean the food quality of this restaurant is super pathetic and below any standards of food service I talked to the manager and he said “ sir dusri dessert la kr de dete hain apko”.
Honestly before finding a cockroach inside my gulab jumun has left me in an analysis of weather i should eat outside or not.
Attaching some photos so something like this doesn’t happen to anyone else please avoid this restaurant.

It is a good restaurant in elante mall Chandigarh. They have a buffet of vegetarian and non veg indian dishes. Vegetarian dishes include dall makhani, paneer, rajma, mix veg, kadhi, choices of italian and indian salads, pav bhaji. Non vegetarian dishes include chicken curry and mutton curry. Ambience is good. Service is immaculate. I recommend it for family dinners. Alcohol is not served.

A cosy restaurant with great ambiance and service. Serving great buffet and other dishes also. They known for their great buffet and preperation of the food was good and delicious, offering wide variety of options in Chinese and north indian cousins. well I tried their veg buffet which is quite good and delicious.

I like their ambience and there service. Food was also good but I think there should be more variety in buffet specially in snacks. Cost friendly as per the location.
