Much before Sector 26 became the official high-end food street, there was Sector 35. It was where most of the restaurants and fast food outlets were present and still continue to operate from. One of the first places to open a pub-themed lounge was Peddlers. Housed in Hotel Heritage, Peddlers was and perhaps still continues to be a trendsetter in the city when it comes to theme-based pubs and lounges. Designed like an English pub - there’s their signature brick wall lined with interesting poster art and vintage style English chairs and tables – Peddlers introduced live music bands as a regular affair in a restaurant. The pub-style lounge situated in the hotel’s basement still hosts a variety of bands playing across genres. Given the causal and young appeal of the place, the menu isn’t really formal and focuses a lot on finger food and starters. Choose from the likes of ‘Damdaar Paneer Tikka’, ‘Vegetable Malai Seekh’, ‘Wok-tossed Crispy Veg with Thai Herbs’, ‘Jalapeno Corn Cheese Poppers’, ‘Sichuan Prawns’ and the likes. The main course meals are styled like combo-meals and most dishes come with a side of parantha or naan. There’s also room for pizzas, pastas, burgers and other quick bites. The service is very efficient and you don’t have to wait for the weekend to enjoy music over a meal.
