Much before Sector 26 became the official high-end food street, there was Sector 35. It was where most of the restaurants and fast food outlets were present and still continue to operate from. One of the first places to open a pub-themed lounge was Peddlers. Housed in Hotel Heritage, Peddlers was and perhaps still continues to be a trendsetter in the city when it comes to theme-based pubs and lounges. Designed like an English pub - there’s their signature brick wall lined with interesting poster art and vintage style English chairs and tables – Peddlers introduced live music bands as a regular affair in a restaurant. The pub-style lounge situated in the hotel’s basement still hosts a variety of bands playing across genres. Given the causal and young appeal of the place, the menu isn’t really formal and focuses a lot on finger food and starters. Choose from the likes of ‘Damdaar Paneer Tikka’, ‘Vegetable Malai Seekh’, ‘Wok-tossed Crispy Veg with Thai Herbs’, ‘Jalapeno Corn Cheese Poppers’, ‘Sichuan Prawns’ and the likes. The main course meals are styled like combo-meals and most dishes come with a side of parantha or naan. There’s also room for pizzas, pastas, burgers and other quick bites. The service is very efficient and you don’t have to wait for the weekend to enjoy music over a meal.
My wife and I only did a one night stay but the owner operators are very kind and hospitable, they make you feel right at home. Beautiful clean rooms. Breakfast was great, they make an outstanding quiche. They've pretty much thought of everything. Bicycles on the premises to use, beach chairs, umbrellas on hand, water/coffee /tea if you're thirsty... did I mention the rooms were beautiful and super clean? In ground pool was 84 degrees as promised which was wonderful for a night swim with a cool breeze. There is not a negative thing I can say. Thank you for a great stay. Only had the opportunity to stay one night at this lovey Guest House in Beach Haven NJ and will definitely come back for a longer stay. We got there early morning the day of check in and our room was available , so we got use of it right away. There are two homes the main house and the second home right next store . Our room was clean and quiet with room air conditioning and a ceiling fan and private bath . The Guest House is only 1/2 block to the beach. They provide bottled water and beach chairs and beach badges in season .There are bikes for use and a heated outdoor pool . There is free 24 hour coffee and a guest refrigerator . The Inn Keepers are friendly and knowledgeable about the local area . Breakfast was set up in the main house : it includes cereal , fresh fruits ,homemade coffee cake , bread and bagels for toast . On he day we were there homemade waffles , with blueberries and warmed syrup was served to you on their large outdoor wrap around porch. It lent itself to a relaxing breakfast and time if you chose to talk to other guests. The Guest House is in walking distance to restaurants , the local playhouse ,Fantasy Island , and many of the small shops that makes LBI unique. A nice atmosphere here at the Inn will bring us back again .
As always a great place to go after many years as a repeat guest!! I have been going to Victoria Guest House for years and the quality still remains the same. The owners take great care of the house and really care about their guests. They make delicious breakfasts and always have goodies around to eat!
My wife and I stayed at this B&B for 3 nights and plan to make a return visit sometime next year. The owners are very friendly and generate a welcoming atmosphere. Great restaurants in the area and less than 2 blocks walk to the beach make it a perfect location. Great walking and biking opportunities.
We booked the entire inn for our extended family to attend our son's wedding. The location was perfect, close to the beach, stores and restaurants. We enjoyed the beautiful porches and the breakfasts were delicious. Judy and John were very accommodating and helpful.
