Annam Cafe is a cafe in Velachery, Chennai serving South Indian. Known for coffee and desserts; ideal for coffee catch-ups and casual meals.

Had a chance to visit here recently, Ambience was very calm and pleasant, with authentic vibes.
Buffet had a good spread of both Continental and South Indian dishes, offering nice variety. Sausages were definitely a highlight and extremely good, while the chocolate and vanilla muffins were soft, moist and delicious.
Overall, it was a great breakfast experience and well worth trying.

Just a surprise find insude Phoenix Mall in Chennai. It's a very happening place among shoppers, foodies, movie goers and youngsters.
We ordered mocktails and main course here. Tried their's Summer Sashay and Bengal Morebba among their curated mocktail section. They tasted real refreshers. Also, from main course we took Karaikudi Mutton Masala with Malabar Tawa Parantha. It was cooked do right that it melted in my mouth with right flavours. Service too was outstanding. Polite and alert staff.

Food - As classy as it is. All the items we order tasted quite good. The starters comprised most of our order which included
1. Mangalore prawn roast(must try)
2. Chicken 65 (must try)
3. Fish and chips
4. Butter naan
5. Garlic naan
6. Chicken gravy

Ambience - Simple and elegant. Got to to say one of the best places I have ever visited.

Service - Pretty good actually. Polite and quick and that's what I would like to describe them.

Overall a pleasant dining experience!!!

After completing our purchase, we were checking for food options and decided to try it out in Annam Cafe.  Probably they kept this restaurant primarily for guest staying in the Design Hotels.  Entry is not straight forward and you need to go through Purple Chameleon Bar and take a lift to upstairs.  Inside the restaurant, it's cosy and comfortable.  Service is generally good.  Food quality was excellent.  Veg manchow soup was not that spicy and tasted really good.

A rustic ambience, with good service and good food. One must try nachos with beans salsa, grilled chicken steak, lemon chicken wings and khasta bun parotta. These dishes were extremely delicious. Since, it serves the items of purple chameleon also, one can have alcoholic drinks also. The serene ambience also helps in enjoying the great food and thus makes the dining experience memorable.

Ambience is decent, good also for family gatherings. Fish tikka and prawn masala were both dry ie Fish was not tender and prawns were overcooked. Service was a bit slow.

To reach this place we need to head to the purple chameleon and head to the elevator. We need to ask in the reception for access to this restaurant. Since it's our first time here we called the restaurant and asked for directions I am giving it here so that the next one doesn't feel difficult. The food was excellent overall. Wish we went as a group so that we could have tasted everything on the menu. The quantity of food was perfect. We ordered Nacho with beans and salsa which was wonderful and we recommend that for trying. Greek pizza was a bit bland for my taste i missed the tangy-ness. Then we wanted to give a shot at the Indian breads so we got garlic naan which was amazing and stuffed kulcha which is preferred to be eaten hot with kadai panner for sabzi. I have had better paneer but sabzi overall was really good.
We had an offer for zomato gold and for the two of us we paid only 1500. And for the price here we found the food to be worth our money

It is available on the third floor which could be reached with a private lift from the parking or could be reached from Purple bar.

It's a very calm and neat place, which could serve you drinks from the bar.

Serves very tasty food, must try the cream soups especially the cream of Wild mushroom soup. It was spectacular.
Also try their fried momos. Which was fluffy ,soft and tasty.
On the whole a fine dining restaurant with a decent menu and fantastic taste.
