A decade and many new Kerala based restaurants later, Ente Keralam still makes a strong case for some of the best food from the region in Chennai with its near-perfect balance between price, ambience and quality of food. Set in a renovated house, this almost replicates a Kerala house, complete with a live counter with a lady making 'Appams' that adds to the ambience. A great place for staples, Ente Keralam is a go-to place for fluffy Parathas to be teamed with fabulous gravies or to soak the soft appams in some comforting stew, with both veg and meat versions doing full justice to the hot off the stove appams. Service is extremely friendly; the waiters are knowledgeable and can make good recommendations for you if you are not sure of what you want to order.
