The restaurant is located among all the food joints on Besant Nagar beach. The rooftop section here is quite popular and is usually booked out on the weekends. The view of the vast stretches of Bay of Bengal makes the experience unparalleled. There are sketches on the walls depicting romance from the 19th-century classic movies. The southwestern roll tastes decent stuffed with peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, green olives, crunchy Mexican rice, black beans and creamy cheese, served with a fresh tomato salsa.
The restaurant is ok. The menus and table settings are old and broken. I asked for Nachos and Minestrone, nachos were served cold no cheese, no guacamole, no Pico de gallo. I guess is the Indian Nachos version. So basically they didn't taste at all like Nachos. If you have been somewhere in the American Continent you will know how Mexican food look and taste. This definitely wasn't Mexican.
Good view of the sea and constant breeze kept us in good spirits. Food was okay but overpriced for the quantity served. Was not even sure if Valet parking was available as I could not find any personnel around. The biggest letdown here was the service. Waiter doesn't ask if he can serve you bottled water. You would think it is complimentary until Rs. 50 gets added in the bill. normal practice is to ask if plain water or bottled water can be served. That was missing. The food was served cold after 45 mins. May not visit again. I found water cans and cartons placed right at the entrance of the restaurant. Isnt the owner noting all these things? Also there is no gap between the elevator and the wall. Seems like an unauthorised/unapproved construction as it may have issues in times of emergency
We were a gang of 16 people. Looked after very well by these guys. Sizzling sizzlers were great ... recommended for fun evening
The roof-top restaurant had a beautiful view of the beach and the food served was good too apart from the soups. The worst thing about this place is their service. They take a hell lot of time to take your order and even more to bring them to your table. It gets frustrating with running orders.
The hola is hidden at concreted bessy, you won’t missed mostly and know joint for many gangs who hop to Bessy often. In case you can’t find ask for MallGadi and it’s on the same building. It was for dinner booked through EazyDiner and after brisk walk entered hola to recharge the lost calories. On the food ordered Tucos, Raviloi and end note with Watermelon cooler 🍉 Quick comment, Tucos was ok bit disappointed may be high expectations made us feel so. My bad nostrils sense even a slightest variation and tomato’s in salsa is no exception to them. The Rose Ravilioli was good may be garlic if waited for few more minuets would made it much better. Water melon was crushed with seeds may be they are good booster for vitality 😂😇
A good location can carry a restaurant very far. The placement alone can define the great success of the establishment and very few restaurants have it all. Chennai is a mecca of trendy spots that can very well fill your evening with wonder and Besant Nagar is a hub of the popular hip restaurants that draws party-hoppers like moth to flame. The locality is a lively one, brimming with swanky and wonderful places like ‘Hola’. The restaurant is a delightful one and is featured as amongst the most romantic spots in the city, courtesy its placement on the roof. To derive the pleasure of this lovely place drive down to 4th Main Road at Besant Nagar. After a particular gruelling day at work drag your fellow workers to Hola for a relaxing evening with drinks. On weekends the restaurant turns into quite an attraction and becomes busy.
Being an exciting lively place where fun and food comes in abundance, Hola has impressed the crowd with its stylish dark surroundings. In the evening the restaurant becomes a cosy getaway with plush sofas and secluded nooks and corners. Ambience is pretty dark which gives a mysterious and intimate vibe. Large picture windows overlooks the glittering city lights in the evening. Pick a seat by the window to admire the stunning view fully. But if it’s romance you’re looking for then ask your server to lead you to the rooftop, from where you can glimpse the sea. No matter what time of the day or night, the rooftop is always a popular place. Enjoy your dinner along with a spectacular view as the cool sea breeze envelopes you in a hug.
The exotic name of Hola extends to the menu too. Let yourself be wooed gently by the delicious cuisines on offer. You will be able to enjoy Continental, Italian and Mexican fare in their full glory. Length of the menu is pretty exhausting so you will not run out of options. Kick start your day with a healthy hearty breakfast spread which contains, three egg masala omelette, akuri, scrambled eggs and eggs Florentine. As first course you can have, south western roll, bruschetta, mushroom chipotle, tostadas, crispy tacos and for second course move on with, Mexican spicy supreme pizza, ravioli rose, Malabar reef cod, paneer shaslik, vegetable stroganoff, fajitas, cannelloni florentina and enchiladas. Hola may not be cheap but it’s certainly yummy.
