Very disappointing experience at Junior Kuppanna – Nungambakkam. Visited around 1:30 PM and asked for mutton biryani. The waiter first said 20 minutes, then oddly asked where I worked and told me to come back in 20–30 minutes instead of letting me wait with starters.

I returned after 30 minutes, another waiter said 10 more minutes and confirmed the biryani was ready. After waiting again, what arrived was shocking — mostly mutton fat and scraps with barely any proper pieces. Completely unacceptable for the price.

The chicken lollipop was overly salty as well.

Poor service, misleading wait times, and terrible food quality for a restaurant in the heart of the city. Should have gone to nearby Restaurant instead.

Will not visit again.

Good food, great service, and a clean place with a nice atmosphere. There is plenty of dining space, and the dishes have the real taste you expect. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, and snacks — all available fresh and tasty. Really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it!

The food is very very delicious.
One shouldn't expect high ambiance when they r looking for  yummy food to make ur stomach full.
Must try dishes are Mutton Biryani,Kothu parota in egg / chicken and a special Nice podi dosa.
One can also try various chicken / mutton fry items if ur not a biryani lover.
Need to compromise on the portions served .
Biryani available here is made of chitti mutyalu rice ( it's a small variety of rice and unlike the lengthy basmati which everyone thinks off )
It's a feast for the non veg lovers with lots of options to try .

I was in Chennai on official business, and I came here for lunch and dinner. That's where I met my waiter, Mr. Basheer. He is a truly wonderful and polite person.

The food items were very good and tasty too.??
