Mainland China is the leading Chinese cuisine connoisseur that offers an array of delectable dishes inspired from the heart of China. This chain of restaurant is a staple for Chinese cuisine enthusiasts across the country. The Chinese-style decor that is very well done with lanterns, countless pictures of dragons, Chinese landscape and statuettes make for a nice background for a family selfie. For when you want to feast on a spiffy Chinese menu, Mainland China is ideal. Start off with the dim sum platters or the dumplings here before you move on to the more filling options like ‘Prawns in Chilli Oyster Sauce’ or ‘Tsing Hoi Chicken’. There is the ‘Sliced Chicken with Kafir Lime’, the ‘Roast Duck in Chilli Plum Sauce’, the ‘Roast Lamb in Mahlak Sauce’ and more. You can pair these up with their ‘Lemongrass Fried Rice’ or their ‘Chilli Garlic Noodles’. Not too sure about what to order? No worries; the staff will readily help you out, based on your taste preferences.
Great tasty food. Dynamite Prawn was fabulous, same with Nasi Goreng. Lunch Buffet was like a lavish spread, great experience.
visited many many times to this place and they always maintain the same quality and service with good food, excellent presentations. my favorite after food is hot chocolate brownie ice cream. must must try this, they serve with the biggest brownie in town. nice interiors and ambience.
We are fans of Mainland China and this is the first time we had a meal at this restaurant located in Spring Hotel. We had a small doubt if this was a franchisee as the place was not as nice as the one on Cenotaph Road, however, we found that it was indeed a Mainland China sub brand. Besides the usual Chinese, Asian kitchen also serves food "from the streets" of Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Korea and Myanmar . The starters which were pretty good -- Vietnamese roll (veg), prawn tempura roll, water chestnuts and corn in lettuce cups (veg and a bit spicy), oriental crispy lamb and prawns hunan style. While the prawns were very good the crispy lamb was excellent. As the starters were served in generous portions, the six of us made for mains do with a plate each of vegetable fried rice and nasi goreng. Both were pretty good. For dessert we had a superb rambutan with vanilla ice cream, which was easily one of the best desserts I have had in recent times. The ambiance was ok but not as nice as in most Mainland China restaurants. The service was not the best with one problem being our understanding the waiter's accent and he ours. They do not serve liquor but located in the basement is a bar that belongs to the same group.
Food, Staff and service is really good. While we entered inside the restaurant - it had a typical smell which was a little turn off.
Part of a large chain but does take pride in their food. Bit sloppy in presentation and hospitality but food qas excellent.
