Mathsya is a restaurant in Adyar, Chennai serving South Indian, North Indian and beverages. Known for South Indian dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

Went for lunch to Matsya in Adyar.

Service was good. Food was also fine. Ambience was nice too.  Paintings are nice too.

Being a weekday the crowd was also not that much.

Buffet spread seemed good but opted for the alacarte which was also ok.

Some food like rasa vada was very spicy though. Bonda was so so.

All in all it was ok nothing to rave about but nothing bad either.

Perhaps the best lunch experience I have had.
The name is deceptive and nothing to do with Matsya (fish). It's a pure vegetarian restaurant.
After a soup and starter, there was a generous spead of vegetarian food.
Paneer, Baby corn, Gobi. Pasta, Noodles, Dosa the spread was unending and each was a revelation in itself. The main course again was well spread with North Indian, South Indian, Chinese cuisine.
Had a great choice of sweets and Icecreams also.
Loved the food and will definitely give it the highest rating and recommendations.
