Mirchi Express is a restaurant in Egmore, Chennai serving biryani, South Indian and Chinese. Known for biryani and Indian mains; ideal for family meals and group outings.

If you’re craving a mix of Middle Eastern and Turkish flavours, this spread is going to blow your mind!

Starting off with the Chicken Oats Sorba Soup — warm, light, and super comforting. Perfect if you want something healthy and tasty.

Then comes the Chicken Shish Taouk — juicy, tender pieces of chicken grilled to perfection with that classic Middle Eastern spice blend. Simple, flavourful, and absolutely irresistible.

If you love bold flavours, the Turkish Adana Seekh Kebab is a must-try. Spicy, smoky, and packed with juicy meat — every bite hits differently.

And of course, the star of the show — Mutton Mandi. Soft, succulent mutton served on a bed of aromatic mandi rice… the kind of dish that melts in your mouth and stays in your heart.

To finish on a sweet note, the Malai Firni is creamy, rich, and perfectly chilled — like a hug in a bowl. And for something unique and traditional, the Emirati Balaleet with its sweet vermicelli and egg topping brings a lovely balance of flavours you don’t usually get anywhere else.

For the vegetarian mezze lovers, the Beetroot Hummus with Pita is smooth and vibrant, and the Falafel with Basil Hummus brings a fresh, herby twist that pairs so well with the crisp falafels.

Overall, it’s a beautiful mix of flavours from across the Middle East — comforting, colourful, and full of character.

Visited Mirchi Express in Egmore and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing overall. While the chicken manchow soup, mutton mandi, malai chicken, shawarma, and falafel with basil hummus were all quite good, everything else was let down by excessive ginger garlic paste. The grilled lamb mashwi and the non veg platter that included chicken tandoor, fish, prawn, and tandoori chicken were dominated by the paste, which ruined the flavors. Malai chicken was the exception and tasted good without being overpowered by ginger garlic.
The fish in the platter was particularly problematic; it was incredibly salty, as if made with karuvad(salted dried fish), making it basically inedible.
What was worse, there was hair in my mandi not once, but twice even after they changed the dish, it still contained hair. To top it off, the honey garlic chicken lacked any real flavour and was bland.
Overall, the food quality and hygiene issues made for a bad experience. Despite a few decent dishes, the significant flaws mean I wouldn’t return or recommend Mirchi Express to others seeking a satisfying, hygienic meal.

Best mandi I’ve ever tasted so far in Chennai! ??
The taste is superb, the quality of food is excellent, and even the quantity is really worth it. Mirchi Express is totally worth the visit and highly recommended.

Note- Iam not a food reviewer?

Had a great experience here and I came from long distance just to taste their mandi biriyani. This mandi biriyani is the best in Chennai I could say seriously l.. Even their service is soo good especially Mr.Dharmaraj 's service is very nice totally must try place.

Food and hospitality was really good. Especially Mr Balaraman sir has helped us to conduct our Birthday party arranged everything as per requirements.

Very good food. Nice hospitality. Friendly staff. Good service time. Adding a pic of chicken Mandi below..

Restaurant is located in one of prime spot of Chennai. Ambiance is very appealing, the place is clean, hygienic and well maintained. Staff behaviour was satisfactory with good knowledge about the menu. Also, when we talk about menu it doesn’t have any fancy stuffs to fool customers. Well planned according to customers preferred food options. Since only 2 of us visited the restaurant couldn’t try more variety of food but feel satisfied with whatever I had ate during my visit. Definitely a place to visit for tasty food and definite visit for ambiance.

Please expect to pay little more than what we have to spend on other similar restaurants.

I recently had breakfast at this hotel and had an incredible experience. From the moment I got in, everything was handled professionally and warmly. The service was truly outstanding, especially from the staff named- Mr. FAISAL. The food was great and highly recommended for the breakfast buffet.. once again I would highly appreciate the service from Mr. FAISAL.
