Last year on the way to Pondicherry a friend of mine stopped for a bite at this great restaurant and came back raving about it. As it often happens with an all-day dining restaurant you end up walking in at odd hours so it’s important that they are always ready to serve. At ‘Petals’ you can relax and enjoy your meal at leisure with your family or colleagues. The restaurant is part of Confluence, East coast road, Chennai and is a well visited place by the locals and tourists alike. Petals is a fine dining family restaurant opened for 24 hours so it’s always buzzing with energy and activity. Its lip-smacking food is a much appreciated bonus. The interiors of the restaurant are eye-pleasing and coolly elegant. A smart and generously spacious room greets you upon your arrival. Ask your server to seat you beside the picture window which overlooks the swimming pool so you can gaze at it while dining.

Take your family along to enjoy the pleasures of Petals. They will delight in lovely surroundings and equally lovey food. The staff of Petals earns a lot of accolades for their warm service and courteous behaviour. Not only are they attentive but they are prompt as well. They will try their best to elevate your dining experience. Dining at Petals is not cheap but considering their variety of food and elegant furnishings we would say, it’s worth every penny. The menu of Petals is multi-cuisine so expect to see North Indian, Continental, Chinese, Thai and even their regional fare Chettinad in its best form. Begin the Petals food journey with some delectable starters such as, laa jawab aloo, clear soup, Caesar salad, tandoori jhinga, paneer sofiyana tikka, raw papaya salad, French onion soup, orange & honey chicken supreme, gilafi sheek kebab and zamin do machi.

Now coming to the more satisfying and rich part of the menu that features delicacies from all over the world. The mains part of the menu sees dishes like, creamy burritos casserole, exotic pasta, olive crushed fish, mint & chicken tikka focaccia, vegetable cubes in honey chilli sauce, dum aloo Kashmiri, nadan chemeen curry, Thai chicken cashewnut, chicken Hawaiian croissantwich, chipotle lamb chops, gambas grillees, lamb chilli & cheese quesadilla and Nellore chapla pulusu. Finish strong with an ethnic note with vathalappam or a continental one with chocolate mousse.
