A beach resort coffee shop is usually not the best place to be. It’s usually not on the beach, crowded and sparsely staffed. Seagull, thankfully, avoids most of these peeves. Windows look onto the blue sea over a swimming pool. Well-spaced tables offer enough breathing space even at Sunday breakfast. I enjoyed the deep savoury notes in my Seafood chowder and lightness of a Chicken Shawarma with Hummus with but wished a little more than ladyfish on the live-grill. So while there isn’t very much to extol, staples and service just about cut the mustard for a laid back buffet-meal or a quick snack.
