This outlet has a minimal décor but extensive seating options. Now, sigree is an iron vessel ideally placed on charcoal fire. The food is slow cooked over charcoal fire till the right flavours of the ingredients come out. This particular restaurant, focusses on grilled varieties and specialises in buffets. So the buffet menu is usually a mix of north Indian, Spanish and Mediterranean. The delight by bar and the delight by pitchers have refreshing fruit drinks and mock-tails that go well with the spicy grilled dishes. The main course that they have, typically consists of nicely done tandoori chicken and paneer koftas.
Had taken a large family for lunch, slightly disappointed with the service and quality. Been to this restaurant several times before, though the quality of the food is good. The menu certainly needs updating. Service was pretty average, but since the diners were high to weekend, I suppose more service people could have been arranged. Valet parking at the hotel was very slow, making cars wait for atleast 10-15mins outside on the main road to get into the hotel. There are so many dishes which are being made at the restaurant and is a part of the buffet, but not highlighted well enough..
We came to Sigree global, Nungambakkam situated at The spring hotel on 4th floor, It has a great ambience with almost 70 seatings. they were running an all new Street Food Festival. This include a starters and new chaat counter and many main dishes. First we had pineapple juice . Chaat Live Counter -Bhel puri with Nachos – Twist of bhel and nachos. -Ragada Pattis (aloo tikki) – The aloo tikki. -Black channa chaat – They serve live in front of you. -Pani puri: it was crispy and stuffed with the potato. -Papadi chat. Regular starters. -Panner Achari – -Thai basil potatoe. -Pineapple Shaslik - I did not try -Kalimirch prawn. -Prawn popcorn. -Mutton sheikh. -Bhuna jeers chicken Tikka methi chicken Tikka. -Anda paratha. -Tomato and coconut girl fish. -Olive cheese pizza. Main Course - -Paneer aloo mutter tawa palav. -mutton dum biryani. -Dilly style butter chicken. -Keema Pav. -Chole batura. Coming to the desserts. We had -Gulab jamoon. -Chocolate brownie. -Jalebi with rabdi. -Double chocolate mousse. -Blueberry mousse. -Pan mousse. -motichur rabri shorts. - Honey and nut tart. -Mango cheese cake. We were exploring Chennai and found this sigree global at the spring hotel 4th floor they were celebrating food feast festival, So we drop by it was having very good variety of food buffet they had very good ambience as well and the festival was also added cherishment which added stars to the restaurant they brought mumbai street food at Chennai. They also replicated the servers avatar as mumbai street walls who serves chat, masala channa live counter to the table. Totally worth visiting this restaurant and They also have special offer like come 5 pay 4. Can also check the pricing list accordingly. (Atmosphere/decor) It is located at the spring hotel on 4th floor as we enter we can see fashionable interior decor and lighting and they have a very good seating arrangement. To the left part of the restaurant carries a buffet counter whereas right carries a chat counter and also we can see kitchen where chef will be cooking food for us. The restaurant also caters for all tastes by providing a large selection of the veggies and fruits which are pricey but worth sampling. (The service/the waiters) The service does accompany the high quality because they served very warm food and the waiter had a big smile out every time reached our table . (Recommendation) Despite the high price of the food and the service of foods takes less time . I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. I have been here once. went with friends and we opted for the buffet. a good variety of starters and all of them were very good. But the main course was not reaching up to the standards.
