Located at multiple locations in Chennai; this restaurant offers a multi-cuisine spread. It is a spacious restaurant with appropriate lighting, simple interiors and comfortable seating. Some of their must-have dishes are 'Orange Chicken', 'Pepper Chicken', 'Dragon Mall' and .
Always a great experience visiting and today was no exception. The staff make sure you order right and will politely tell you if you’re over-ordering. The tables are spacious and the restaurant well ventilated. The chopsticks aren’t the throwaway variety but decent ones. Ask before starting to eat and they’ll place the chopsticks with pleasure. The veg garlic clear soup and thick spicy mushroom soup whetted our appetite like only great soups can. The crispy corn with coriander is so delicious that one can just eat corn and drink soup and end the meal fully sated. The touch of coriander is genius and the consistency good. The vegetarian dim sum were served steamy hot and with two types of sauces. You’d think the table was full of people who hadn’t seen food in ages given the speed at which they disappeared 😁. Main course was spicy and mild fried rices, veg balls manchurian style in brown sauce and stir fried vegetables. The portions were appropriate for the price and served in quick time by attentive staff. The taste of the rice was perfect and the rice sat light in the stomach. The stir fried vegetables included beans, broccoli, baby corn and mushroom. It was pleasing to see a number of south East Asian dishes - popiah, mee goreng, nasi goreng and even ice kacang. I think it’s the right diversification from being only Chindian 👍. Parking is no issue. You need to take about 7 steps to access the lift. Overall great experience and one I’d gladly repeat.
This place is quite close to elliot's beach so you can just walk up to here when you are visiting the beach. They serve very large portions like if you are ordering soup then easily 3 people can have from 1 portion and the same is for other dishes which are more than enough for 2 people. The price is ok considering the quantity they serve as rs 300-400 for one dish is equal for two serves so don't worry and definitely go here in large group. All the dishes that I have tried are pretty good specially momos and non-veg starters.
The dishes are not able great in taste but also in quantity. One soup can easily be has by 3 people and almost all dishes are enough for 2 people so dont order a lot as you wont be able to finish them. The non veg starters are must to have specially chiken and prawn plus the momos are good. Even the veg options cannot be ignored. The place is hardly 5 min walk from beach so don't miss it when you are visiting the elliot's beach
Cascade is one of the old 'Indian' Chinese restaurants of Chennai. Over the years, the restaurant has managed to retain its quality. The food is simple, tasty and easy on the stomach. Their veg manchurian can be very spicy if specific instructions to keep the dish mild is not given. The veg fried rice and hakka noodles are nice.
The EazyDiner food festival is an added puller to book dinner at cascade. It was tom yum veg soup clear was chosen for its flavour and lightness steam momo / Kothar Veg was accomplishment. The main course was spicy veg fried rice and broccoli 🥦 chicken 🍗. The rice 🍚 is huge portion for even 4 :-) The white saucy accomplishment was seamless with spicy 🌶 rice. In case you choose to sit along side choose a place with four seater, he couplet is somewhat cramped. The price of dishes are marginally raised since my last visit in early 2018 !!
