The décor is pretty sensational. You will notice the vintage elegance instantly in the polished wooden wall panels, vintage chandelier and wall to wall carpeting. To sit they have added cosy timeless looking sofas at various corners, making intimate nooks for you to slip in. Ask your server to seat you in those corner ones if you are looking for privacy. The bar is the focal point of the room, standing gloriously under the lights. It’s completely made out of wooden panels and a glassed in liquor cabinet that belongs in another era. Although a pricey place, you feel good to be there and doesn’t really feel the pinch. Cigars are on the offer too. Settle in those tables beside the pool for a leisurely smoke.
While the soft jazz music plays in the background, browse through their bar menu to pick a drink for yourself. The Westminister has an amazing vintage selection of whisky and cognac that ranges back almost 30 years. Some of those bottles are quite expensive and exclusive, a collector’s delight. Besides the hard up drinks, one can even sip on potent cocktails, which we find to be delicious. Try out their award winning cocktail Pomo Cino, made with cinnamon infused vodka and fresh pomegranate. Their mixologist is superb. To munch, nibble on their delicious chicken wings. Overall, The Westminister is a fantastic place to visit with your colleague or friends, to show them the beauty of vintage looking watering hole.
