Thoondi is the Tamil word for a fishing rod. The restaurant has been designed keeping in mind the gorgeous flora and fauna that Tamil Nadu has to offer. There are bamboo fences all around with a granite Buddha statue in the middle. There are well spaced out individual huts with bamboo or teak furniture. The delicate taste of the 'Pomfret' is maintained in the Chettinad variation where the rich spices only compliment the sweetness of the fish. The 'Fish Seekh Kabab surprisingly does not have a fishy taste and is hearty yet light. They have big portion sizes, so order judiciously.
