Located inside a shop in a Park on the East Coast road, the interiors of this outlet are quirky yet relaxing. Bright colours have been contrasted with subtle hues of beige and pure black. The natural light streaming in throughout the day, adds to the charm of this place. One of the pizzas that stand out on the menu is the onion and minced black olives Tuscan thin crust pizza. The pizza is topped with melted mozzarella on of black olives tapenade along with grilled sweet peppers, onions and sun-dried tomatoes. The seafood pasta here is made in a rich tomato sauce with fresh prawns, muscles, calamari and fish fillets, topped with olives.
Amazing food after a good drive on ECR. Best place for pizza's friendly service. Good cozy ambience.
Visited Tuscana on 3rd September at 2.15pm, ordered for veg.pizza, and pasta and pannacota Received pizza, enquired about offer, horrible and horrendous reply by the staffs, pizza came, started eating, but the behaviour of the staff and manager made us to leave the restaurant without eating the food, this is my first experience in my life of 45 years. Not bearable. Please don't visit, ambience very poor, no AC, if u want AC we have to go upstairs, I am having knee problems, I can't go up, think of 42 degrees in Chennai eating near oven with out AC. Needs change of staff
Starter and Pizza was good however the Pizza was little spicy. The Panner Tikka pizza was average as panner did not taste well with the other toppings and sauce and also its size was quite large. Service needs improvement. Waited for around 10 mins to give the order and had to call the waiter multiple times. Would recommend this place.
For those who know the real Italian food this place is awful. Pizza-good base, good dough, tomato base is alright, however, horrible cheese, cheap, poor quality;/ Lasagna no parmesan just weak mozzarella, weak quality. New place but completely empty inside, no clients. No olives for pizzas just ketchup;/ completely fake fast food poor quality food a bit high prices, we tried but we won't come back.
We went in for 2 items and got the two items. Tasty thin crust "mickey mouse" pizza for our daughter and tiramisu for ourselves. But our daughter ended up with major share of both !! Nice taste with pleasant service. Nice view of ECR from first floor. One can see the pizzas being prepared in the ground as your enter. Nice experience.
It was almost two decades ago that pizza came out of its place of non-existence and familiarized itself to the general public. The nation came to know and love this Italian delicacy. Restauranteurs saw great potential in pizza and invested in pizza parlours with great urgency. Metropolitan cities became hubs of pizza delivery chains, each trying to beat the other with new schemes. Chennai was late arriving to the pizza scene but when it did, it embraced it whole-heartedly. One of the key names in pizza sector of Chennai is ‘Tuscana Pizzeria’ of Akkarai. Located on East Coast Road in Akkarai, the pizzeria became integral part of dining scene in the city very quickly. Patrons flocked to the restaurants in hopes of getting their hands on their wood-fired oven gourmet pizzas. Each one as good as the other. The restaurant found great advantage by being located on ECR and received a steady footfall of diners.
Tuscana Pizzeria is the brainchild of Chef ‘Wili’ Williamson and Vipin Sachdev who teamed up to give the epicures a place that redefines pizza, a task they succeeded in. Their pizzas are a class in itself. You have a great time browsing through their wonderful variety of crusts – regular, multigrain, whole-wheat and gluten free millet. Every diner can have their pizza customised to their specification. Interiors play a huge role in restaurant business. Tuscana Pizzeria believes to keep it simple yet attractive. They put all their focus in the food which is a good idea, for their food simply shines through. Décor at Akkarai outlet is rather Spartan. The restaurant is vastly spacious with floor to ceiling seamless glass windows to bring the natural light in. Furniture is lightweight and colourful.
Menu of Tuscana Pizzeria is completely budget-friendly and deals into authentic Italian food. But what they are famous for is their gourmet pizzas. They do some pastas too but pizzas steals the spotlight. In first course start with, chicken croquettes, baked stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, golden ricotta dumplings, grilled peppers with buffalo mozzarella cheese, minestrone al pesto soup, classic Caesar salad and focaccia. Next chose which route you want to take, the pizza route or the pasta one. Dig into, frutti di mare pizza, mushroom ravioli, spicy pepper pasta with lamb sausage, pasta alla norma, spinach & mushroom pizza, traditional beef lasagne and shrimp ravioli with caper butter. Conclude with a lemon cheesecake, torta chocolate, tiramisu and panna cotta.
