Wangs Kitchen opened its first ever outlet in Chennai in the year 1995. The restaurant offered something which food lovers in Chennai had been craving for many years: Authentic Chinese cuisine. With some of the best chefs dishing out an array of mouth-watering Chinese dishes, it did not take long for Wangs Kitchen to make a mark in the city. Now, they have opened restaurants in cities like Bangalore, Madurai, Coimbatore, Pondicherry and Thiruvannamalai. The ‘Mega Meal’ which has a pre-defined list of dishes, you can either choose the one which serves 2 people or the one which serves 4 people. The other is the ‘My Box’ which has set vegetarian and non-vegetarian combo meals perfect for office lunches. The vegetarian combo includes ‘Schezwan Rice with Singapore Chilly Gobi’, ‘Chilly Garlic Noodles with Potato Chilly Sauce’. Non-vegetarian can go for their combos like ‘Wangs Special Fried Rice with Chicken Peking’ or ‘Singapore Noodles with Chicken Manchurian Sauce’ and more.
I had visited Wangs Kitchen located at GeeGee Emerald Nungambakkam. We had ordered soup and a few starters and while we were having our first course I noticed the floor was extremely dirtty and infested with cockroaches. Soon I scanned the entire place and realised that the floor was not mopped or sweeped in sometime. We were the only diners and the rest were all Swiggy rifders. I called the manager and showed him the same but he was not keen or interested. We decided to walk away as it is a health issue, while he was organising to get one of the waiter to sweep the place. While the waiters were walking in and out of the kitchen I noticed it was no better. The place is dingy and dirty. Even after the incident we paid for what we ate and walked out and the manager was not genuinely remorseful...
Had egg fried rice(225) with spring roll(208) which cost 508/- INR including. Gst +service charge. Ambience is good.
the wangs kitchen at nungambakkam is really good... clean and neat.. foods were tasty... i had one cantonese chicken noodles and a manchow chicken fried rice... service is good but little slower.. it takes time.. must try... worth the taste....
This place spoiled me for life for Chinese food. I must have visited this place at least 25 times and it never disppointed me even once. The taste and quantity of the food is just awesome, difficult for another place to compete with it. I recommend this place to both veg and non veg foodies who love Chinese food.
We went there last night. The service took too long, here was no AC and only two fans. The crispy lamb wasn't crispy at all.It wasn't just us, there was someone who had ordered for a take away and they had to wait for an hour and a half. And not a single apology was made for any of the above issues.
