One of the most popular Japanese restaurants in Hyatt Regency, Chennai, Yakiniku offers authentic, yet uncomplicated Japanese cuisine freshly prepared in different dining ambiences. With an emphasis on a casual fun-filled atmosphere, the menu is unpretentious but high on flavour and substance. Unravel authentic Japanese favourites as you indulge in appetizers such as ‘Niku Tofu’ (Sliced beef, tofu, dashi stock, green onion, chili powder), ‘Takoyaki’ (Octopus dumplings, tonkatsu sauce, mayonnaise, seaweed), ‘Salmon Chanchan Yaki’ (Salmon, cabbage, onion, mushroom, carrot, sweet miso), ‘Nasu Dengaku’ (Fried Eggplant, miso sauce, sesame seed). With more options added for vegetarians on their menu, Japanese food is predominantly seafood is a statement that you can not say anymore if you head to Yakiniku.
We had sushi style tempura prawns and chicken teriyaki and grilled seafood. All the dishes were cooked to perfection which tingled our tastebuds.
Japan and Japanese are known for healthy food and hale mind...Yakiniku means grilled meat and your purse will be grilled if you dont know what to eat and how...speak to Sunil restaurant manager a food guide will lead you to chef Amlandu trained by corporate chef Kney Homma of Hyatt..Tuna sasme, Veg California maki, Tempura Maki..are some romantic food one should try...
I visited this restaurant twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. The menu is not very easy for people who are not used to Japanese cuisine but the waiters are very friendly and explain the dishes well. Food was tasty and of good quality. Recommended
I had limited veg food. The sushi was very good. The clear soup also was nice. I request for Udon Noodles with veggies and gravy which was done.
Not likely you see a separate Japanese restaurant in every 5-star. Great food, cozy ambience, but a slightly small seating place.
