Akio Coffee Roasters is a cafe in Race Course, Dehradun serving coffee, Italian and pizza. Known for coffee and desserts; ideal for coffee catch-ups and casual meals.

Had the Iced Americano, Iced Cappuccino, and a Tomato and bocconcini bruschetta … everything was brilliant! The flavours, the presentation and the attention to detail. Our servers Rohit and Inder Singh were prompt and attentive. Truly, service with a smile! A pleasure to spend some time here and will definitely be back for more. Thank you.

Great coffee, inhouse roastery and budget friendly coffee as well. The neapolitan pizza base cannot be missed as welll, would 100 percent recommend. You could get your monthly coffee refill from here as well as well as some great coffee equipments

Finding a place in Dehradun that serves real coffee (not just sugary milk) and is quiet enough to work on my thesis can be tough, but Akio Coffee Roasters in Race Course is a gem.
The Coffee (The Real Deal):
As a researcher, I appreciate details, and this place claims to be Dehradun’s first specialty coffee roaster—and you can taste the difference. I tried their Pour-Over (Manual Brew), and the freshness of the beans was obvious. It wasn't bitter, just rich and flavorful. If you are tired of instant coffee in the hostel, their Cappuccino is a solid upgrade.
For Vegetarians:
While they serve non-veg, their vegetarian Continental options are excellent. I had the Sourdough Pizza (at their partner outlet nearby, but served here too) and it was light and crispy. It’s a bit on the premium side (approx ₹1000 for two), so maybe save this for when your stipend comes in!.
Vibe & Work:
The ambiance is sophisticated but calm. It’s a great spot to bring your laptop, sip on a dark roast, and get some writing done without too much distraction.
Verdict:
If you are serious about coffee or need a break from the usual Maggi-Momos routine, this is the place.

Akio Coffee Roasters is a gem in Dehradun’s café scene. I tried their mushroom and hummus toast, and it was simply delightful—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. The hummus was creamy and light, pairing perfectly with the earthy mushrooms on crisp, well-toasted bread. To complement it, I ordered a cold coffee, which was smooth, refreshing, and just the right level of sweetness.

The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax or catch up with friends. The staff is courteous and attentive, adding to the overall experience. Akio clearly takes pride in both their food and coffee, and it shows in every detail.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for fresh, wholesome bites and excellent coffee in Dehradun!

I visited the place few days back in evening and I really liked the place and staff specially Mr Inder . The service was on point and the coffee was just right pleasing. Food was also delicious. Will definitely visit again

Service and Ambience both are excellent. Must recommended to visit this cafe at least once

These coffee beans from Akio are exceptional from the moment you open the bag. The aroma is rich and inviting, setting the tone for an outstanding cup. Every sip reveals a thoughtfully crafted coffee-consistently satisfying and delicious.

Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great coffee.

Amazing coffee and superb service. Indar was our server at the cafe, he is super polite and very attentive. I am glad I came across this cafe. The barista Sonu makes delicious coffee.... Must visit if you are in Dehradun.
