Rajwada is a restaurant in Sahastradhara Rd, Dehradun serving Rajasthani and North Indian. Known for Rajasthani dishes; ideal for family meals and group outings.

The ambience is classy yet comfortable, perfect for both family time and friendly hangouts. Food quality is top-notch — every dish feels fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor.
Overall, solid food, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d come back to. ?

Amazing food, very fast service, and such a cute ambiance! ?
The food here is absolutely delicious and came out super quickly — everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The service was impressive too — attentive and friendly staff made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is charming and cozy, perfect for a meal with friends or a date night. I definitely recommend coming here! ??

What a great find! We had our lunch here and it was fantastic! Must visit!

The place is divide into two sections; one is Rajwada where Rajasthan vibe is on point.

The other one is Novello Delight where we had our lunch. This had a totally different vibe!

All the tables were clean and the overall feel was very premium.

We had so many things; started with honey chilli potatoes. Yumm 5/5. Good portions.

Second was the Chiken Tikka Pizza and it was bomb! Very flavourful and full of chiken. Very filling! 5/5.

Then came Chilli Mushroom they were fantastic too!

For the main course we had chiken biryani, butter chiken, butter roti!

Everything was to our liking and food quality was great.

The service was exceptional too! The server came and asked feedback about everything which is quite rare to see in Doon!

We had a lovely time and will be visiting soon!

Rajwada at Sahastradhara
Rajwada at Sahastradhara offers an authentic Rajasthani culinary experience with beautiful décor and attentive service. Upon arrival, we were served welcome drinks—aam panna and chaach. While both were decent, they lacked that extra punch to stand out.
We ordered the Dal Baati Churma, which arrived with impressive presentation, and the dish lived up to its visual appeal, delivering authentic flavors.
The thali experience was elaborate and kicked off with appetizers: fresh salad, spicy mirchi pakoda, soft dahi wada, and flavorful peanut masala. The main thali featured a delightful variety of dishes, including palak curry, pre-mixed dal baati churma, paneer curry, aloo tamatar curry, kadhi, and khichda. It was accompanied by roasted papad and two traditional desserts—halwa and kheer.
Though the paneer and aloo tamatar curry felt a bit out of place among the other Rajasthani dishes, the rest of the thali was well-balanced. A selection of bread—missi roti, makka roti, and regular roti—along with steamed rice complemented the meal perfectly.
What made the experience even better was the impeccable service. Bhupender Rana, who attended our table, was exceptional. He ensured everything was served promptly, guided us on the right portion sizes, and had excellent knowledge of the menu and curries. His hospitality truly enhanced our dining experience.
The ambiance reflects the essence of Rajasthan, with vibrant décor and live music in the evening, adding charm to the atmosphere.
Rajwada at Sahastradhara is certainly a must visit for anyone looking to indulge in Rajasthani flavors and hospitality. The delightful food, thoughtful presentation, and outstanding service make it a memorable dining destination.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !
We recently hosted a retirement party at this restaurant, and unfortunately, the entire experience was very disappointing. To begin with, the service was extremely poor and unprofessional. The staff was inattentive, and despite multiple reminders, they did not manage the event properly.

The food was another huge letdown. Both the taste and quality were below average, and most of the buffet food remained untouched because no one enjoyed it. Guests repeatedly mentioned how bland and badly prepared everything was. On top of that, the air conditioning was not working, making the whole atmosphere uncomfortable, especially since it was supposed to be a special occasion.

What made it worse was that the management asked us to pay more than the fixed amount we had agreed upon, even though the food was wasted, and the services fell far short of what was promised. This left a very bad impression on all of us.

For an important celebration like a retirement party, this place failed to deliver on every level. I would not recommend this restaurant for any event or function. The owner was very rude and constantly pointing out that people are eating more starters even though most of the people were fasting.

Amezing & Lovely Food About the Ambiance so beautiful and service was excellent ??

Absolute travesty, should NEVER visit, the food takes too long to arrive with peanuts in terms of quantity , chicken lababdar costing above 500 served in the smallest kadhai one could find in a market with barely 3 and a half pieces which are so small one might believe it was a crow, the shimla bharwa as well only had 1 capsicum divided in half which was okay at best, barely enough to feed 2 people, ALSO they have service charge by default which is shameless after what was served, please do not visit this place, it has no reedemable points at all, even the lemon soda that was specified to be sweet 3 times came salty, if i could review it in negative i would.

From the moment I walked in, I knew I had made a mistake. The ambience felt like a government office that forgot it was supposed to be a restaurant. The staff looked personally offended by the fact that customers exist. Service was slower than a loading screen on 2G internet.
Now the food…
Calling it “food” is emotionally difficult.
The starters arrived cold. The main course arrived confused. The biryani tasted like it had been emotionally prepared without salt. The paneer was so rubbery I briefly considered using it as a stress ball. The naan was either undercooked or fossilized — there was no middle ground.
Hygiene? Let’s just say the table was already sticky when I sat down and somehow became more sticky by the end.
The bill arrived faster than the food, which honestly felt intentional.
If you are on a diet, come here. You will instantly lose your appetite and possibly your will to eat forever.
Would not recommend to my worst enemy — and I really don’t like my worst enemy.
