You can only break the rules when you know them supremely well, and that’s what The Park has done with their ‘outdoor night club’: turned the swimming pool area into a party place after dark. Lounge on day beds that are partially secluded with gauzy white curtains, order a wide range of snacks from the Middle East and listen to music that changes tempo with the crowd. In fine weather, this is a sought after venue being in the centre of the city, yet with a distinct tempo.
Close your eyes. Imagine the cool water touching your feet, sounds of oud playing in background making you sway. To liven the party order mint o bomb shots before moving onto the appetizers. Mezze platter is your safest bet for a party. Moussaka is traditional yet satisfying. Food is every bit as good as the view so don’t hesitate to move along to attempt kebab joojeh, pink salmon or sheesh taouk. The dishes are not complete without the inclusion of middle eastern breads. They sort of tie everything together with cumin flavour. The house music of Aqua is a perfect foil for the mood they want to create. You can’t help but feel your body relax and adapt with the surrounding. To leave a sweet taste the club tempt you with juicy sweet baklava and rose water flavoured klaicha.
