Cosy and intimate, the multi-cuisine menu and bistro style chairs lend a relaxing air of casual dining here and can seat people both indoors and outdoors. Not particularly plush surroundings but comfortable and conducive to leisurely dinners or a quick lunch. The warm dark wood, the quirky circus inspired lighting and the hand-painted balloon wall gives it a distinct personality. When you yearn for a good old-fashioned soup, Circus is the place. Begin your meal with starters by digging into the delicious ‘Hawrah jhalmuri’ or a ‘palak patta chaat’. I was pleasantly surprised to find ‘sizzling tenderloin with bird chilli’ on the menu and would recommend the same. The food here is simple though some dishes look and taste similar; that said the ingredients are fresh and hence the food tastes fairly above average. Shivkaran Singh has caught the pulse of the market with some comfort food, great ambience and lip-smacking cocktails that are absolutely affordable and is already attracting the cities foodies in droves. All in all, Circus has the perfect ingredients to keep the Modern day yuppie enthralled!
Went on a weekend with my family for lunch, as opposed to the name circus which are generally associated with vibrance, lights n bright colors - the place was dimly lit. Seating is uncomfortable, it's more like a school canteen and the food is average and overpriced.
We order non veg platter , mushrooms starter and butter chicken pizza. Non veg platter doable . Mushrooms were just boiled no flavour whatsoever. Pizza the worst ever no idea what they were trying to make . We left half the food and went away.
Visited this restaurant with family for causal dining. The decor is peculiar - actual circus type. So is the serving bowls in the shape of spade. Children would be loving it. Food was so so, but the music by the DJ was electrifying. The price of 1 ltr water was Rs. 100/- Better to drink their supply which is R.O. Water.
Food is good but the decor is lot of fun and cutlery n crockery is an experience ... A nice place to go for a reacex casual meal .. Children will love it
Circus, as the name suggests is a theme based restaurant located in the bustling Cyber Hub, Gurgaon. The place has colourful and lively interiors like that of a circus with walls painted in stripes on one side and a huge mirror on the other and bulbs hanging from the ceiling. There is a clown themed full bar. The music is really great and goes well with the ambiance. Now coming to the food, their menu is not limited to one style but they serve a variety of innovative and traditional dishes. The drinks menu is interesting. Tried a number of dishes and drinks. The drinks were refreshing, be it joker no 7 or masala gang with kala khatta. The starters were delicious. My favourites were palak patta chat, kurkure paneer tikka. For the main course, had Indian curry's with assortment of Indian breads. The dal and paneer were average though but the Indian breads were well cooked. To finish the lunch, had aate ka halwa which was decent. Overall,a good place to hang out with friends and have refreshing drinks and food.
Keeping a modern day diner captivated is a tough job. Since the several funky gastro-pubs and European bistros came into the picture, gourmets seems to have elevated with times by not being satisfied by just any ordinary pub. Tipplers are constantly on the lookout for a place that gives their evening a unique experience. Part of Delhi NCR’s never-ending saga is the newly arrived conceptual bars that seemed to have taken the city on a trend storm. Fun creative themes are used to design a bar/restaurant and attract attention of picky diners. ‘Circus’ is a playful vibrant bar located at trendy DLF Cyber City in Gurgaon and as the name suggests, is themed after circus life. This visually splashy place is a great option when you want to get together with friends or simply want a quick lunch.
The peppy fun mood at Circus is elevated by their knock-you-out bar menu, which is brimming with booze labels from around the world. Mention-worthy are their house concoctions seeped in desi flavour. Circus kallakhatta LIIT is especially popular drink of choice for the regulars. Designated drivers for the evening can find solace in the mocktail section. Accompany the drinks with few appetizers from Circus’s multi-cuisine menu. On offer are, hawrah jhalmuri, mini samosas, dahi ke kebab, sizzling tenderloin, burnt garlic chicken tikka, crispy veg salt n pepper, jhinga kata masala, chicken satay with sweet chilli and khumb angaro seekh. Feast further on, mutton ghee roast, chilli paneer roll, reshampatti spiced prawns, vegetables in hot garlic sauce, Thai style fry fish curry, Hyderabadi kadhi pakoda, butter chicken khichdi, Bombay sandwich and ras el hanout fish.
Dessert menu sees the usual suspects and also some surprise additions too. Dig into, hot chocolate fudge, rice kheer, chocolate fantasy cake, the ultimate circus sundae, chocolate caramel turtle sundae, chocolate marshmellow frosting and aate ka halwa. The food is delightful at Circus as well as not too pricey so indulge freely. The vibe at Circus is a fun playful one. The décor is created to reflect the different aspects of Circus. Red and white striped walls works great against the wooden flooring. The look is not too polished rather is kept rustic which exudes authenticity of the theme. Rope ladder chandeliers, ring master mural behind the bar, dart table tops and a brightly lit ambience goes a long way into bewitching you.
