How does it feel having Butter chicken from a place which still holds its legacy of origin; that’s Daryaganj, an exclusive restaurant at Delhi’s newest hub Aerocity. The interiors may not appeal at the first go but as you take a closer look at the walls, the sepia-tinted frames will catch your attention. Flipping through the menu, Kundan Lal Jaggi’s photo and the interesting description will make you stop and read. The restaurant sees the simplicity and the authenticity of the 90’s just like it was way back then. The meal started with sipping the 'Laung Elaichi' mocktail followed by an assorted mix of kebabs starting from 'Mutton Barra', 'Chicken Tikka', 'Amritsari Prawns' and the non-missable 'Mutton Seekh Kebabs'. Perfect to the tee, each meat was juicy and succulent, cooked the authentic tandoori way. Going the vegetarian way, 'Mushroom Kurkuri' and the 'Hara Bhara Kebab' worth all the penny. This was followed by the star dish - 'Butter Chicken', 'Dal Makani' and 'Dal Meat' served with 'Laccha Paratha' and 'Khasta Roti'. Cooked with freshest of tomato and butter with generous pieces of tandoori Chicken - the 'Butter Chicken' is surely the star dish in the whole menu. And, 'Kulfi' will raise the bar. Kicking the flavours of nostalgia, Daryaganj surely makes on your list of the second visit.
