If you have that Italian craving, then one of the only places to go is to Diva. Even though you are plied with breadsticks and focaccia, resist the temptation to fill up on the excellent bread and order the 'Herb Crostini' with Parma Ham, Avocado and Goat Cheese. 'Pizza' is, of course, stellar, but then the 'Ravioli with Puglian Burrata' is not to be missed. If you feel that you are missing your proteins the 'Slow Cooked Duck Breast' is what really needs to be ordered or the 'Crispy John Dory'. Both of these dishes are beautifully cooked and will leave you hankering for more. Do not forget to book a table.
Exclusive rich crowd good ambience & rich atmosphere.Italian restaurant with good bar list.Attentive staff overall very good experience
One of the best restaurants in Delhi, known for excellent decor and ambiance. The food is something which tasters will be looking forward to in fine dining. You have to go there to experience it . Amolak Rattan Kohli Former Governor of Mizoram
We had heard a lot about Diva for its food and ambience. Tried their outlet in GK 2, M Block Market and my experience matched what I had heard about them. We were in a hurry so ordered for a Tomato Basil penne pasta and a pizza with half pizza Verde and half Margherita. We were served with two breads - one of which was focacia which we liked. The mixing bowl for making your choice of dip was small and shall recommend them to pick something bigger as it's good for one and they give one bowl on a table of four. Shall also suggest to offer oregano and chilli flakes along with breads as we had to ask for it and it was promptly delivered. Pizza was nice with base made of authentic flour and good quality ingredients. Service was prompt and lovely ambience. Worth the visit, shall highly recommend.
To be honest, there was a time Diva was known to be the finest Italian Restaurants in Delhi. Clearly that time is LONG GONE. This branch of theirs in Greater Kailash 2 has lost its standard of quality and even though they try. It is a far cry from how good it used to be. Offcourse if you are one of the elite delhites who have enough black money to not bother too much you won't notice. But if you like value for your money please go here at YOUR OWN RISK.Or just do not go! PROS - 1) Staff is well spoken. 2) Menu is LIMITED so you can't go wrong with much. 3) Menu keeps changing so the variety is nice to check out. CONS - 1) Unprofessional staff. If you call them and it is a busy time for them they will put you on hold and forget about it completely. 2) They messed up my order twice - gave me free Arancini and a dessert and expected me to forget about it. ONLY TO REPEAT that behaviour again. Pathetic. 3) I have a gluten allergy and they advertise they make "Gluten free Pizza" and obviously they charge you an extra good amount for doing that. Well guess what, the pizza was STILL NOT GLUTEN FREE. I fell sick the next day and had eaten nothing except their pizza the night before. 4) They were very busy on the weekend so I ordered a Pizza to TAKEAWAY. Guess what ? Their Pizza crust was BURNT from the side, clearly didn't even bother checking it in a hurry and I was given that to eat anyway. Talk about Quality of their so called Masterchef, I've had better food service at INDIAN DHABAS. Clearly to say DIVA should be ashamed of themselves. IF you were functioning in abroad I'm sure you would have been sued by now but hey, in India who gives a damn right? I am sorry giving away your customers free "piece of dessert" doesn't make your pathetic service and burnt food experience go away. Yes the DIVA inside the Italian Embassy is still value for good food. But not everyone is allowed to go there and the problem is ONLY with the Greater Kailash 2 branch. Thank god it is not 2012 and many authentic Italian Restaurants have opened because I am never going to this crap hole again. DO NOT TRUST THEIR FANCY PROMOTIONS and SWEET DEMEANOUR, unless you are there to eat their advertisements and the waiter. Not their food.
We have tried this restaurant with some friends who were visiting from Italy. The place is nice and the menu is interesting as well as the wine list. The fish is fresh but it’s served just with five beans and so at the end it wasn’t really a main course. The pasta was totally over over cooked and I didn’t expect that an Italian restaurant at that level should never serve such a pasta. We were not satisfied from this restaurant and wouldn’t recommend it.
Italian food lovers can rejoice for there is finally a place in Delhi where you will be served authentic Italian fare guarantee of its excellence. GK-2, M block is the home to Diva – the Italian restaurant which is owned by celebrity chef Ritu Dalmia. Chef Dalmia has managed to bring to us a comparatively reasonable Italian serving place where you are sure to get marvellous food. The chefs before being trained by the Chef Dalmia had no clue about Italian cuisine but they have taken each class in seriousness and are producing lip smacking dishes. The biggest compliment of the authenticity is that Italian embassy gets Diva to cater its events. The location of the restaurant is posh and the faithful clientele is all upper crust. The elegance of the locality infuses into the décor colouring it with class and sophistication. Choose to sit next to window which gives a fantastic view of the block.
Though everything prepared at the restaurant is worth sampling but still the menu needs to be explained. The antipasti consists of pan seared scallops, warm salad of Orissa crab, crispy prawns, quinoa salad, bruschetta and kale & beet salad. For first course the chefs offers gnocchi, roasted red pepper soup, parmesan ravioli, spaghetti with calamari, risotto with red prawns and sweet potato tortelli. The second or main course presents coffee marinated lamb chops, grilled john dory, grilled jumbo prawns with pumpkin brulee, wood roasted chicken, confit of pork ribs, grilled & baked duck breast and mozzarella & ham filled chicken breast. The vegetarian mains shows potato pasta pinwheels, truffle mac n cheese, spinach & herb crepes, mushroom & goat cheese in crispy parcel and duo of parmigiana. Panini bar hosts various fillings like grilled parma ham, eggplant, peppers, sliced sausages and mozzarella/tomato/basil.
Most important part of any Italian establishment are their pizzas. They are what define any restaurant worthy of their salt. Diva dishes out amazing pizzas. They are freshly tossed, smeared with full bodied sauce and loaded with scrumptious toppings. Each and every bite of the pizzas are out of this world. The service of the restaurant is fabulous as well. Managed by a very connected manager the restaurant runs like a clockwork. The staff is attentive to your needs and are very helpful with the queries. On their recommendation conclude the meal with the surprise of chocolate and you will not regret it. A bit expensive Diva is a must visit place. Promise you’ll go!
