Warm and welcoming, Elma’s Bakery has managed to retain its charm in the many years that it been at Hauz Khas Village. One of the best things to eat here is from their breakfast menu which is on until 12.30 pm where the baked eggs with ham is truly a star while the full English breakfast is a close second consisting of two eggs, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms and sausages. The chicken and mushroom pot pie is absolutely delicious with its gravy cooked in wine and the crispy puff pastry working so well against it. Elma’s special Macaroni and Cheese is not worth missing especially because of the creamy sauce and you have the option to throw in some extra bacon or ham to make it a filling meal. When it comes to dessert, the ever-popular Red Velvet Cake is a good option, but try the chocolate banana and candied walnut crepe to actually change your mind about a good quality crepe. The waffles are also fresh off the griddle and options such as raspberry and cream and lemon poppy seed will just knock your socks off.
