One of the three restaurants at the Essex Farms is Essex Village. It does do some decent Indian food despite slow service. Start your meal with the 'Chaat Ka Khazana', which has a choice of chaats including papdi and aloo. The 'Murgh Tandoori' is really good with delicious smoky flavours which is what tandoori chicken is all about. However, the 'Seekh Chapli' and the 'Machhli Tikka Ajwaini' both had a peculiar aftertaste and were very dry. For the curries, the 'Nali Gosht' and the 'Paneer Jodhpuri' are really good. But what is absolutely spectacular are the 'Rotis' and 'Naans'. Hot crispy and just perfect, the Rotis have magic to redeem the afternoon. Do not forget to eat the 'Anjeer Badam Kulfi' – creamy and rich – delicious.
