You know a restaurant has got it right when the name itself makes you smile. Fat Lulu's—who is Lulu, and why is she fat? Does it matter? Not really, because from the moment you walk into this Worldmark establishment, you realize that whoever Lulu is, she knows how to throw a party.

First, The Important Stuff

Let's talk about drinks, because any restaurant worth its salt understands that a meal begins long before the food arrives. The Rose Wine & Strawberry Sangria hit the table like a promise kept—fresh strawberries swimming in properly chilled rose, sweet but not saccharine, fruity without crossing into fruit punch territory.

The mocktail menu suggested someone in the kitchen actually drinks these things themselves. The Ocean Blue—that joyously artificial-looking combination of blue curacao, fresh orange, lime, and soda—was unabashedly fun. But it was the Italian Smooch that made me sit up. Fresh mint, peach, ginger, and passion fruit sounds like a committee decision, yet it worked with surprising elegance. The Spicy Mango Mint Mojito, complete with jalapeño and a masala rim, was the kind of creative risk that pays dividends.

And then there was the Cranberry & Peach Lemonade—simple, honest, and exactly what you want when you're not trying to make a statement but just want something cold and delicious.

The Pizza Question

Here's the thing about the Soho pizza: it's completely over the top, and it knows it. Spicy pepperoni, Parma ham, crumbled lamb, pork chorizo, sausage, and nduja—this is a pizza that subscribes to the "more is more" philosophy of life. The base was thin enough to stay crisp under the weight of all that protein, the crust had the requisite char, and the nduja brought that lovely, spicy fat that tied everything together. Would a purist approve? Probably not. Did I enjoy every excessive bite? Absolutely.

Starters with Substance

The Country Fried Chicken arrived as advertised—a house specialty with buffalo sauce that actually tasted like someone cared about the buffalo sauce. Crispy coating, juicy interior, proper heat. This is bar food elevated just enough to make you respect it.

But the real revelation was the Arancine di al Fungi. Cheese and mushroom stuffed rice balls sound almost pedestrian on paper, but these golden orbs, served with a properly acidic marinara, were textbook perfect. The rice held together, the mushrooms were earthy without being overwhelming, and the cheese pulled that melty, Instagram-ready string when you broke them open.

The Pasta Verdict

Now we come to the serious business. Cacio e Pepe is Rome's great gift to minimalists—just cream cheese sauce, Kampot pepper, olive oil, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. Get it wrong and you have greasy noodles. Get it right and you have alchemy. Fat Lulu's gets it right. The sauce clung to the pasta, the pepper sang, and the Kampot—nice touch, that—added a complexity that regular black pepper couldn't match.

The Tuscan Chicken Lasagne was everything lasagne should be and rarely is. Layered pasta baked with San Marzano tomatoes (the only tomatoes worth using for this, really), white wine, and a cheese fondue that managed to be rich without being heavy. This is the dish you order when you want to feel good about the world.

The Final Act

Italian Gelato for dessert—pistachio that day—was dense, creamy, and tasted emphatically of pistachios. None of that pale green impostor nonsense. This was gelato made by someone who's actually been to Italy, or at least paid attention to those who have.

What It All Means

Fat Lulu's doesn't pretend to be something it's not. It's not serving deconstructed ravioli or foam anything. It's doing Italian-American food with confidence, competence, and a clear sense of what makes people happy. The drinks are creative without being gimmicky, the food is generous without being sloppy, and the whole experience feels like someone actually thought about what guests might enjoy rather than what might photograph well.

Their food was amazing as always. We love their Napoli pizzas and there’s no going back now.
Ordered charred Broccoli and Pisano pizza- both finger-licking!!
They didn’t have all the listed beers though so had to choose from the pool which was available.
Service could be a bit improved given we had to request twice to get water.
There was almost no crowd at all but we didn’t mind it as far as our palette was satisfied. :))

The pizza tastes really good – fresh ingredients and great flavor. However, the price feels a bit on the higher side compared to what you get.

•	Pricey for the quantity
•	Not very budget-friendly

I found Fat Lulu’s a bit on the expensive side for what it offers. The food was just okay – I tried pasta and ice tea, and honestly, it was nothing special. For the price I paid, I expected better quality and taste. There are definitely many other places around that serve great food at a much more reasonable price. Overall, not really value for money.

Went in with great expectations but came out with a very average experience.

We asked for 2 items and both of them were not available!!!

The burger buns are a far cry from a good gourmet burger and look as if they have been sourced from a roadside food stall. Full of oil!!!! Smashed Chicken burger patty is so sad there are no words for it, even my 11 yr old daughter was left wanting for me after finishing the burger. The portion sizes are too small considering other similar joints leave your stomach bursting.

I'm not getting into how bad the service was, except one guy who was busy on the computer no1 was attentive or proactive enough to ensure a good customer experience.

I'm definitely NOT going back.

Great place to eat. Amazing drinks. Pizza is fantastic. Whipped ricotta is delicious. Tiramisu goes crazy. Only dish I would never recommend is the chicken ravioli. They describe it as chicken mousse which is supposed to be a slightly soft texture and it was served hard as a rock. We were astonished that it was served like that. After telling the server to take it away, we said it was not good and she told us maybe it wasn’t to our taste so we had to walk her through and show her what the problem was. This place tries to convince you that their chicken mousse ravioli is some kind of wonderful, mind blowing dish but it is the worst thing in the menu. Take it off the menu and think of a rework. Everything else we had was fantastic. Please just stay away from that chicken ravioli.

Visited the FatLulu’s WorldMark outlet in Gurugram.

Recommended Dishes - Spinach Riccotta Ravioli or Chicken Ravioli in Mushroom Sauce ; Vietnamese Coffee was Strong and good.

Definitely Not Recommended - Lousiana Chickek, Chicken was too chewy and stale. My stomach got upset because of it as well.

Scope of Improvememt - Staff needs fresh training as they are not attentive at all. The place could use better hygience as well.

All in All, Had an underwhelming experience.

We order speghetti pasta and Alfredo pasta and it was so dry that we had to put extra effort to chew. Additionally the Alfredo pasta was dry and no side bread. We dinned outside and they served the meals in boxes and literally had to ask for plates to eat the meal. Worst experience with Fat Lulus.
