The contagious vibe of this place strikes you from the moment you enter. The quirky Bollywood theme interiors and the catchy music set the right mood for the meal ahead. The Dharmendra and Sholay fans can reminisce the bygone era of the 70's, with walls adorned with framed artwork from the different movies and roles done by him, enhanced with the antique showpieces and funky light fixtures. However, the primary element that catches your attention is the bar that resembles the front of a liquor shop or 'theka'. The place mainly serves dhaba style North Indian food, so must-try dishes include the delectable Dal Makhani and all time favourite Kadai Paneer, with tender pieces of cottage cheese cooked in a tangy tomato onion gravy with green capsicum. For starters, the Dahi Ke Kabab are a must-have. From the tandoor the section, the Ghosht Seekh kababs are well-flavoured, and the Tandoori Amritsari Fish is marinated in a delicious mustard oil marination and cooked in the tandoor till soft and flaky.
Liked the place and theme with old songs of dharmendra. appetizers Dahi Kebab, Galauti Kebab and Murg tikka Kali mirch were very good. Main course dal Makhani and Lababdar chicken were average. Service was Average.
I liked the place based on the theme of movies and specially the dharam ji life in film industry All places are set in same pattern Food was delicious and above that was the presentation and ambience which took all eye candy it was marvellous and fabulous evening to enjoy over
We visited Garam Dharam for dinner in Aug 2018. Ambiance - The place has interiors based on the movies of actor Dharmendra. They play songs / dialogues from his movies in the background. Service - Pathetic. My 6 year old wanted water. Just to get mineral water, we had to wait for good 20 mins. Asked multiple waiters repeatedly, but to no avail. Food - Nothing great about it. Average food. the drinks. Drinks - There is a bar. However, we did not try The place is themed on one of the biggest actors of Hindi film industry Dharmendra. However, the restaurant fails to impress. Overall, an average place. There are better options available.
Good Food and reasonable portions with price is how I’ll define Garam Dharam. Like the interior and the service. Good place to relish North Indian cuisines. They have a bar menu as well which I didn’t happen to try since it was a working lunch. Would make a good place for evening dine outs if you are not looking for heavy music and young dancing crowd.
While ambience and name of the place is catchy, but the service and food fails to entice. Very average food and service. Nothing wrong, but nothing to mention particularly.
