One of the Big Two, comparisons between Havemore and Gulati is what Pandara Road discussions are made of. Havemore is cozier and smaller of the two, split lengthwise into burgundy and teal covers. The dining space is brightly lit and there’s soft jazz playing in the background. I began with Havemore’s signature 'Kakori Kabab'. With minced garlic and onion in its bite, it wasn’t a true Kakori but adeptly spiced and quite delicious. 'Havemore’s Butter Chicken' is tomato-forward with a distinct tang and a bit of fruity sweetness. The gravy had a balanced richness and spicing marked by kasuri methi which bathed tender and smokey 'Chicken Tikkas'. What swept me away though was the 'Dal Makhani' with its near perfect texture of lentils, bold khada masala spicing and a creamy slow-cooked body which coated the back of my spoon.
