In the press of restaurants serving North Indian food, Ichiban is the lone Chinese eatery. It may not be very familiar to the population of Beijing. However, there’s no denying that the food served here – it includes crispy honey chilli potato, paneer satay, prawn in hot garlic sauce and stuffed potato soyabean chilli – hits the spot when you’re looking out for a tadka Chinese meal. The term was probably invented right here as a matter of fact. It is spicy and tasty, and if you look at it as an offshoot of desi khana, you’ll even begin to enjoy it.
