Located is one of the most sought after areas in Delhi, India Grill in Hilton Garden Inn offers diners some good variety of Continental and Indian food at one place. The ambience is that of a fine dining restaurant with warm crimson and brown coloured cosy interiors. The traditional club sandwich is done perfectly oozing with cheddar cheese from the sides and layers of grilled chicken and fresh lettuce. It tastes even better with the salty and juicy Spanish bacon, fresh tomatoes and mayonnaise. The best accompaniments with the big chunk of tenderloin steak is some delicate red wine reduction along with some meaty wild mushroom.
The location is good. However, being a 5-Star property, we expected a decent spread. The food choices were extremely limited, and the restaurant itself has small seating capacity. The taste of preparation is fine, staff is quite helpful, but again the Food spread is abysmal.
I liked staying at the Hilton Garden Inn overall but India Grill was the one part that stuck out to me that was not great. I typically enjoy having breakfast at hotels but the one at India Grill is very mediocre in my opinion in terms of options, flavor, and service. Their dinner was even worse. I had dinner there with a colleague last night and not only did it take quite awhile to get his pizza but when he finally did get it, it was lukewarm and the jalapenos on it were cold like they just came out of a fridge. He also mentioned to me that he also got a pizza from there a couple nights ago and they made a mistake on that order as well. An employee or manager came by and asked how everything was and when my colleague told her what happened, she looked at him, just said "okay," and then walked away. It was a bit of an odd experience. Typically there will be an apology at the very least so it seemed weird that she did that. I really do not think the price matches in terms of the food and service. While I can see myself probably staying at this hotel again, I don't see myself dining here for dinner ever again.
All Staff are very kind and happy to make the visitors's stay excellent. Very excellent service with a smile. They really go out of their way to cook any specific food required.
We visited the place on today for a family lunch and unfortunately my father had a medical emergency and he was to be rushed to the nearest hospital. we are very thankful to staff for speedy arrangements of wheel chair and cab.
