This quaint café is a perfect place to head to if you want to head out for a business meeting. Because of its secluded location, it is not swarmed with too many people and it is perfect even if you are looking for a spot of solitude, especially because it has a lovely little library. The food is just about ok. The sandwiches are nice but aren’t spectacular, bordering on being dry. But what is really nice are the drinks. Their frappe is like an old-fashioned thick cold coffee which really hits the spot while the masala chai tastes of the earth because of the spices in them. The iced teas are a bit of a hit or a miss depending on whose made them that day, but the apple cinnamon coffee is what will keep you coming back for more. Team these drinks with some chilli cheese toast or a marble cake and you will be plenty happy.
went there last summer, it was really nice, pebble in the middle, wooden sit, plants and lights. i had their vietnamese cold coffe fell in love with it so much that i ordered twice and had sandwiich which was fine, it was jalapeno sandwich so maybe a bit more i expected.
The front and the backyard of this place is literally LIT. I will give 5/5 to the ambience but I think the service is 3/5. Tea is again not per my taste so 3/5.
The place is absolutely stunning with indoor and outdoor seating. Place to click such cool photographs. Its become more beautiful in the evening with all the fairy lights their making it a perfect place to enjoy your beautiful evening such amazing vibes. The best place in Champagali on the basis of its beauty. Coming to food. It was quite disappointing. Chicken tikka sandwich was okayish quantity was less. Chilli square pizza was good tummy filling. Chocolate brownie was okayish. But the service was very poor. We waited half n hour for our one item to come.
Located deep inside the lanes of Saket there is Champa Gali where you can locate this Jugmug Thela. It was our first visit to champa gali and we heard a lot about the Jug Mug Thela. It is a beautiful place to spend quality time with your loved ones as it is quite and full of nature. I really liked the sitting on the back side of the outlet, it was like sitting under a tree, sweet breeze flowing and a calm environment. People who love nature will find this area really amazing. The only reason we are giving a 3 star is because of the drinks and somewhat you can say the food. We ordered Masala Lemon Ice Tea and Vietnamese Ice Coffee, these 2 were not at all up to the mark. Other than this we ordered Bombay Double Decker, Club Sandwich No. Ché and Chocolate Vanilla Marble Cake. The sandwiches had a good amount of filling, but the cake was not at all palatable.
This place has amazing flavors of Ice Pops. I have came here multiple times and I eat at least two Ice Pops each time. My top two flavors are Tropical Fruits with Honey & Seabuckhorn Berry Crush with Lime. They also have cool bamboo plates they serve the Ice Pops on. In addition to handing out the coolest recycle bags I have ever seen. I will be back next time I’m in New Delhi.
Any craving for coffee or tea doesn’t have to end with some fancy tea/coffee parlour in Delhi. So many places are a bit off beat but manage to put out pretty decent food if given a chance. Listen to us and save yourself some moolah by checking out these offbeat spots to give yourself a break from all those fancy glassed in cafes. If you intend to do exactly that then definitely check out this one place, which will change your notions about cafes forever. Your search for something offbeat will take you to the depths of Saidulajab in Shed 4, behind Kuldeep House on Westend Marg, Delhi, where located is a quaint tranquil café called ‘Jugmug Thela’. The café is run by two NGOs – Jugaad and Karm Marg – who works towards empowering the youth.
The café is bit difficult to find but as you follow the signs they will take you towards a serene spot away from the hustle-bustle of main Saket. Jugmug Thela doesn’t serve alcohol. It’s better to indulge in their vast selection of beverages. Try their 12 secret spices masala chai to warm your hands on a cold winter morning or a Moroccan Tea, Te Moruno, for an exotic sip. Coffee lovers will swoon in joy with their gourmet coffees and chocoholics will find comfort in cocoa no. 258 or dark cocoa turmeric latte. If you are impressed with the beverage section then wait until you see the grub selection. Jugmug Thela tickles your taste buds with, herb paneer & tangy chutney toast, Goan vindaloo club sandwich, sriracha scrambled eggs toast, tikka shikka OMG sandwich, wasabi labneh & pear toast and green chutney & jalapenos sandwich.
Menu is a surprising part. You go in assuming a maggi-cheese sandwich joint and Jugmug Thela in turn stuns you with its innovative drool-worthy menu. Give yourself a sugar rush with, real fruit & juice ice pops, saffron & cardamom slice, creamslices with real fruit, fig dates & dry fruit crumble, chocolate vanilla marble cake and brownie squares. The term ‘make most with what you have’ fits Jugmug Thela perfectly. At one glance you will notice the recycled items used to create the space in an innovative creative manner. Most of the décor is done in pale wood with plants, bulbs and odd curios to enhance the façade. Sit outdoors on a pleasant Delhi day or inside next to their small library. This casual little eatery is very pocket-friendly as well.
