In a charming, cheerful, quirky, 1970’s retro ambience, here you can expect some good food, though with a twist. Inspired by Bollywood characters and elements Mumbai food, the menu is an eclectic mix of fusion dishes. Start your meal from 'Khao Gully Nashta' – a section devoted to Mumbai street food. Here 'Pandus Vada Pav', 'Church Gate Pav Bhaji', 'BadeMiyan Style Rolls', 'Koliwada Style Tandoori Fish' are very popular. However, what steals the show is 'Junglee Billi Signature Veg and Non-Veg Keema Pav'. The main course comes as 'Mumbai Dabbawala' with interesting choices of Bombay famous 'Yellow Dal Tadka', 'Iranian Berry Pulao', 'Bombay Dabba Gosht'. If you are curious, try 'Chicken Sanju Baba' as it is one of the hot selling items. 'Bhaijaan Seekh Parantha', is chef’s special and not-to-be-missed. There are also 'Colaba Style Thin Pizzas', crisp and well made. Sandwiches and burgers are great options. Do try 'Haji Ali Sandwich' – oodles of veggies and melt in the mouth cheese. 'Red Harissa Marinated Basa'; 'Spicy Chicken Skewer' and 'Sausage And Mash' are strongly recommended by the chef. Signature cocktails are full of spunk. 'Paan Mojito' is interesting and so is 'Sparkling Lollipop'. For Sangria lovers, there is ample choice. In the desserts section, I loved 'Bombay Mawa Cake' and 'Chocolate Fondant'.
Service was good and full of courtesy. Bhel was too spicy, took more time then what we expected looking at the number of guests in restaurant. Bhaji was also spicy and very salty. I returned the bhaji and it came back same and I had to say 'no' again though we were not charged for that. Chef wasn't even bothered for at least to reheat the buns if couldn't provide fresh. Shake was very good.
Junglee Billee is located in the main gk1, m block market. The restaurant is spread across 2 floors with options for indoor as well as balcony sitting. The interiors are really beautiful with pastel colors, posters and jewellery on display which you can buy too. The music is really good here. The staff is friendly and happy to help you to choose food from the extensive menu. The restaurant brings you food from Mumbai shores to Delhi. The menu is inspired from different parts of Mumbai and includes local food, pizza, burgers, Indian etc. So thought of trying fish and keema pav along with some drinks. The kolivada style fish tasted absolutely amazing, great flavors and just melted in the mouth. The keema pav tasted average though. The presentation is good and the portions are decent. Overall, a good restaurant with some pretty interiors and good food.
food is good, service needs improvement, its in the M-block GK market so parking can be problematic.
Don't be put off by the greeters leaning on their lectern on the pavement downstairs (note to manager: body language training?) Go up the narrow, steep stairs and enter a bright, light room. Not over-stuffed or even stuffed with seating, it's very welcoming. They've livened and lightened it with old artefacts, a bit like your pretentious aunt's sitting room. Just like that pretentious aunt's sitting room, there is no oppressive music. Thank goodness. Have a few drinks and choose from the unusual items on the menu. It's all served attractively and tastes as good as it looks. Try the कीमा भाजी, for example. Of course it's not like the Mumbai original: it's KEEMA. Have fun.
The place is quite interesting with different and innovative menu option. The overall decor of the place is quite exciting and you have an option to chose between three floors one of which is the open air terrace. The preparation is good, the hospitality is nice and overall a good place for friends fun.
The fun perky vibe of the famous M Block market in Greater Kailash – 1 is accentuated by the presence of several trendy pubs and restaurants. The market is quite popular with the hip set of South Delhi and is often crammed with fashionable upper crust crowd who spend their evening away shopping or boozing into the late hours of the night. Out of all their trendy eateries the bar hopping crowd has a special fondness for ‘Junglee Billee’, located at M-24, Main Market, GK-1, Delhi. The spot is a lively one and ideal to experience the funky nightlife of Delhi in the right way. If you are looking to chill out with friends then pick Junglee Billee for its casual energetic atmosphere. It is one of the best pubs in town.
Give the impressive display of booze at Junglee Billee a company by choosing some delicious appetizers to provide that salty kick. Take advantage of their varied menu that besides offering North Indian and European cuisines, also dabbles into Maharashtrian and Gujarati food as well. Their seafood selection is worth sampling too. Throw back their lip-smacking signature cocktails like, Mexican twist, old flame, Mumbai cosmo and the golden blonde with the help of the starters. Nibble on, vitamin kurmure bhel, Chinese dosa, khandvi chaat, Punjabi soya boti, koliwada style tandoori fish, limone mushroom, churchgate pav bhaji, stuffed daal ka chilla, MH. Ali chicken boti kebab, missal pav, bademiyan style rolls and noorani tangadi kebab. In second course relish the burgers, fish n chips, sandwiches, pasta, pizza or curries.
Junglee Billee follows a 1970’s retro theme, visible through its décor to its cutlery. Split onto two floors the restaurant enjoys a variety of seating options. You can take advantage of their wide balcony section on first floor if you are lucky enough to find it free. Indoors the ambience is elegant, striking, casual and relaxing. Dine properly in a formal seating style or lay back on cosy recliners to chat with your friends. Cheerful patterned wallpapers and old fashioned furniture lends a whimsical feel to the entire room. There is nothing loud or contemporary about the space. Everything is kept subtle, delicate, easy on eyes and charming. Couples often flock to the balcony in search of romance and ambience. Even if a little pricey Junglee Billee surprises you with its style and eclectic menu.
