It is very important to note here that Londoners is not heavily into traditional English food. Though there are a few British Raj themed dishes like the 'Londoners Club Sandwich', there are not too many food items that will take your taste buds on a trip to the UK. Having said that, several munchies served here are quite toothsome. Try and grab a seat next to the glass windows. Then you can catch the shopping hordes of the GK1 market in action. In case you do not want to go in for solo dishes, there are sharing platters as well. The 'Mezze' as well as 'Tandoori Platters' can each feed an army, so to speak. Do not try and look for an authentic London pub grub here. The menu lists food that appeals to the generic diner.
The idea of a watering hole comes from the British background where pubs are dime a dozen. Every pebbled street in London has at least one pub that acts as the nearest watering hole for many. So it wasn’t much of a surprise that sooner or later a London-themed based pub opened in the city and drew the party-hopping crowd to its chic interiors. ‘Londoners’ as the pub is called is placed in the very popular Greater Kailash-1 Market, sprawled across three floors which includes a cosy terrace area too. If you are shopping in the market and crave for some cool beer then Londoners will give you that much needed respite. It is a little quieter in day time but as the evening falls hordes of fashionable crowd drops in for a drink or two.
No British-inspired pub can make do without a selection of decent beers and something filling to nibble on. Along with their fantastic bar menu you get to sample a delectable food menu too, which tackles British, Chinese and Italian food as well. Drop by on a live gig night to enjoy some entertainment along with your drink. They keep their punters busy with live sports screening, karaoke nights and Wi-Fi. For old souls one of their decadent shakes are a good pick me up. Pair them with, toad in the hole, Irish spring roll, poutine, scotch eggs, tandoori prawn cocktail, Thai iceberg wraps and Birmingham fish tikka. Follow that with, butter chicken pie, pepperoni pizza, pasta bell roma, fish & chips, chicken steak with beer & onion sauce, claypot lamb and bangers & mash.
Those with a sweet tooth will find plenty to occupy them, be it, bread & butter pudding, baked cheesecake, Londoners great wall of chocolate, sticky toffee pudding, Musketeer’s chocolate mousse, kulfi with falooda and fried chocolate with ice cream. The décor of Londoners is a fun one. There is plenty of space to relax as the pub is split across three floors including a terrace section. To reflect the theme fun British elements are used now and then. Bar stools with British flag upholstery, blue & red colour theme, wallpapered walls and showpieces adds to the inspired look. Londoners is in every way a chilled out space designed for friends to catch up and relax, even if it is not exactly cheap.
